He never stopped coming forward despite getting hit with hard punches throughout the bout. He never stopped trying, and he didn't look for an easy way out.

Hell of a fight and I give real respect to Dorticos. Best of luck to him moving forward in his career. If he can tighten things up a bit, he can still be in the title picture for a long time.

His reach and power are true weapons. And he's got a solid jab, too. Just work on making the punches shorter and get the conditioning up.

Guy has the heart of a fighter.

gassiev and usyk move up for the tournament. I don't see any reason why he can't win 1 or 2 belts to be honest. him vs bredis would be fun.

    I agree.

Dorticos is better than I thought he was. He's not young, but he's not too old, either (at least officially).

Many sluggers have no stomach for taking punishment themselves. Dorticos is different, though. He's got a fighter's heart.

I would not put him back in the ring too fast, though. He took a beating in the fight. He needs a break.

He has an amazing chin, he deserves a ton of credit, I think he stood up to those shots through sheer force of will.

I was stunned that he not only took the punches, but he kept coming forward.

True respect from me. I am a "come forward" fight fan and Dorticos proved everything to me in this fight.

    Respect.

Too soon, IMO. I would not put him back in the ring that fast (May). He took some big shots tonight.

I don't think dorticos will be ready by then after the shots he took in the last 3 rounds.. he needs 6-9 months off for his health.

Dorticos showed the heart and chin of a world champion in there tonight.

He definitely has it in him to win a world CW title belt once Usyk inevitably moves up to HW. I expect that Gassiev also moves up to HW.

Yeah he showed tremendous heart and chin, went out like a warrior. He has an exciting style and isn't afraid to mix it up, hopefully after a well deserved rest he can recoup and come again.

    Yep.

I sincerely thought this guy was hype with a soft chin and would go out fast against Gassiev.

Happy to have been 100% wrong about him. Now I'll follow him and root for him.

There were a couple of moments in the fight I thought he had Gassiev slightly wobbled, was winning the 11th until he got tagged by some big ones and his tank emptied.
