I would like to see Murray against Amir Khan. I think Murray can take Khan.

Romanov wobbled him loads of times, Thaxton looked off in that fight, yet came back to KO Melero, the Spaniard who had almost beaten Romanov. Thaxton has made a few impressive comebacks, so he deserved his shot last Sat, as opposed to being left in the knackers yard.

Surely the way in which he handled a southpaw, at the very least, would tell you something about Murray. And Thaxton's wobbles may have had something to do with Murray's accuracy and sharpness.

well, mezaache is now one of the top fighters in europe, thanks to back to back wins over thaxton and kudriavtsev. what a difference spitting that gumshield out made.

but like i say, if thaxton had KO'd mezaache in 1, he would have looked upward to some big(ish) reward fight, not downward, to a slip up fight like murray. hence, i believe, when thaxton was outside looking in, it was the only time he was likely to face murray. murray got hold of the only version of thaxton he was ever going to be allowed to face, IMO, and delivered.

i remmeber talking to joe gallagher after romanov beat thaxton. he was furious, and told me he believed murray would've done something like that, to thaxton. (and then they wanted to be there, rather than mezaache, when murray v thaxton would have had the most reward ie british champ v euro champ.) it's not like team murray waited.

in many ways, i feel fro jon thaxton. a hard luck career, but this is what makes his successes all the more impressive. a cracking pro, a warrior, and british boxing will miss him. can he resist one more british title fight, to have a lonsdale belt for keeps, once murray moves to the next level?

What this bloke says^^^Murray looks so one dimensional he could be a cardboard cutout at times...shuffle forward, hands up doesn't cut it at world level.
