Honestly, I don't really care, but I hope he does fine outside of boxing.

Very unfortunate, especially that he was robbed in the 1st Cermeno fight. I can't comment on the 2nd one, but a Venezuelan poster had Cristian winning, so who knows. Anyway, once Darchinyan finished him off, he wasn't the same anymore, he should've had close fight with Cermeno in the 1st place.

As typically as it works in boxing, expect it's disgraceful followers to point to the record and say "his ass was overrated"... well, few fighters had a so convincing run as Mijares before the Darchinyan fight, and u can't argue with that. But it was cut short. Boxing is a dangerous game, so you should know when to hang'em up.

    Great Champion!

smart move on his part if he feels he lost something mentally and physically in his losses. To go from being one of the top mexican fighters in the sport to losing 3 in a row can do some damage to your ego.

Mijares dominated Arce, Navarro and beat Munoz fairly clearly.

He was AWESOME. Unfortunately Vic ruined him. He'll still go down as an ATG super-fly, his achievements were damn good.

Yeah i had him winning but it was a hard fight to score, i wasn't keeping the score. Cermeño did hurt him a couple of times in the 1st round and later in the fight but Mijares was making him miss a lot he had great defense movement and speed, he had excellent stamina and fought a lot better compared to the 1st fight where he got tired in the later rounds. I think mijares landed more punches and with the fight being in mexico i thought that was enough to win the fight , it was a close fight. Mijares wasn't able to hurt Cermeño at all tho.

There's this itch somewhere down the road that cristian won't be able to scratch which only a boxing match can satisfy. You will be back mijares and that's fo shoo.

I always thought Mijares ain't any special, he just took advantage beating Arce too much.
