I've got to remind myself that that girl isn't extraordinarily tall, she's just standing next to a superflyweight. :yep

Well word is that guy likes very comfortable surroundings, so Cristian would probably have to vacate his title and move down to challenge for Pong's, and in his own backyard. Home advantage being irrelevant because Mijares won't let it reach the cards. That could set up a unification showdown with Sakata, Narvaes, and Donaire for all the marbles. :happy

Any matchup in the upper echelons of 112 and 115 is good news!

I am the one who started Mijares-realisation on ESB.

I've been on, admittedly, the Arce fight was the first bout that I saw, but it doesn't get anymore impressive than that and I began to research the kid immediatley after and I'm a fan until the end.

Bring on all comers, if they dare!

By the way, he absolutely deserves a top 10 P4P ranking, who brutally shuts out a top 3 ranked fighter in the way he did Arce? Also, who EVER shut out Arce?

The great Carbajal scored a come from behind TKO 7 years ago.

Donaire isn't ready for that one mate. He matched up well with Vic stylistically and he won't be scoring any KO's over Cristian.

Cristian allowed Arce to just land some fully loaded bombs by way of fighting Arce's fight in the midrounds for whatever reason and Mijares didn't even blink and as a chin checker, I was IMPRESSED.:yep

Realistically I see Mijares picking Donaire apart and either winning a wide UD or a damage stoppage. Donaire's never been taken into deep waters.

Mijares would KILL Donaire. It wouldn't be as lopsided as Arce, but it would be close. I can't think of one physical tool or skill in which Donaire would have the advantage.

I will be watching Mijarez's fights from now on. His performance against Arce was just brilliant.

His fight last week was a great display of skill and abilities and finished the fight ripping the body of his japanese opponent.
