Wouldn't be surprised, we tend to have the same tastes, aside from Calzaghe.

Count me in. It's hard not to be a fan to a fighter who is humble, workmanlike, and exceptionally talented.

Fascinating match-up would be Donaire or Penalosa v. Mijares. All the others would be total domination.

When Calzaghe isn't fighting guys named Mikkel Kessler, I pick and root for Calzaghe. :good

Was you impressed when Kawashima knocked him on his ass the first time they fought? Mijares has a solid chin, but he can be hurt and dropped.

And he gets up, which is more valuable than not going down in the first place.

Whether he gets up or not has nothing to do with his chin. That has to do with recooperative powers which Mijares does pretty well. kawashina stunned him other times in the 2 fights. Regardless, Mijares is no lock over a guy like Donaire who can punch pretty hard with good conterpunches. Mijares is a good fighter but he still has a lot to prove.

count me in. i have only seen him fight a couple times, but I like what I see from him in the ring, and he seems like a really classy guy. Look forward to seeing him again.

Arce is one of my favorite fighters and I would never want to see him fight Mijares again. He pissed me off to say the least, but I gained a ton of respect for him after he outclassed Arce and beat him brutally. I remember Darchinyan fans a few months ago saying he would knock out Mijares. God damn.. if that matchup ever happened, it would be the biggest schooling of a top ranked fighter in a while. It would be interesting to see how embarrassed and frustrated Vic would be if he made it into the later rounds.

To be honest most of the Aussie Vic fans were very sceptical at how Vic would handle Cristan, even before Donaire.

It just didnt seem like a good style matchup to start with and Mijaries was fast becoming recognized as a very good allround fighter.

As time has past I would not bet a single cent on Vic to beat Mijaries.

What's that up ahead? Is that a guy named Franck tied to the rails?

Hopefully it's not Gorjux , I can't see him even ranked by the WBC at Flyweight or Super Flyweight and he's only #11 at Bantamweight in the European rankings , the lowest available contender .

    He's 16-7-0 , hasn't had a meaningful fight in 2 1/2 years .
He's barely at French title level(7 French titles fights winning 2 and losing 5) , granted France is one of the strongest countries at the lower weights in Europe and French level is almost the same as EU(note not full European level) level but when you compare that to the likes of Mijares it's utterly ridiculous if this fight goes through .

The question is, is Mijarez really the best of 115? And the simple answer is NO.
