Cristian is going to turn Munoz's face into mincemeat, he's got no defence and is pretty damn predictable. He's gonna pepper this dude from the outside all night long.

If he wins convincingly hes top 10 p4p.

    Go Cristian!!!:happy :happy :happy

I think Mijares is a very good fighter, and hopefully he can go to battle with Donaire. Whether we are for Mijares or Donaire, let's just have this fight happen. That's the most important thing.

True, for now. Forcefeeding crow to the Donaireans will be the most important thing starting May 18th. :yep

I better get on this train, i've been touting him over Montiel and Donaire. I may as well get a ticket on the Mijares express!

I could convert! He is pretty slick SOB and is cocky as all hell, so I guess if your going to be a fan you better commit to a fighter like this, and live by the sword and die by the sword!

He's actually a really nice guy, not cocky. But slick, a warrior, a workrate demon and a BRUTAL fighter he is.

People comment on his lack of power, but he opponent's faces are always heavily damaged by the end of a fight, Arce was a stuck pig, Kawashima was ****ed up and Navarro's faced was bruised and welted pretty bad.

Converted, then committing blasphemy there after is punishable by death.:nod

Gotcha! I called him cocky, because it seemed like while he was fighting Navarro he was smiling and winking at Navarro, kinda like letting Navarro know that Navarro you are way over your head here. I'm going to walk in hit you with a four punch combination, and then take a step to the right while you miss your counter!

Mijares' resume is shaping up pretty nicely, it's just a shame that most boxing fans don't follow some of the fantastic fighters in the lower weight division.

Take his dominant win over Lopez for example, the same guy who was jobbed against Kirilov(won 7 rounds by most accounts and KD'd Kirilov twice), then went up and gave Ponce trouble undersized at 122 before getting KOed and now sparked Mike Oliver.

A dominant performance over a B classer is always a good victory, all wins are not created equal.

So he's shaping up with -

    Arce(lacying)
    Navarro(masterful)
    SD Kawashima, TKO 10 Kawashima
    Lopez(masterful)

And is soon to add a masterful performance over Munoz and possibly a fight coming along with Montiel. That'll be one of the better resume's in the sport and I hope the P4P rankings will not continue to ignore him accordingly, especially if all of these wins are masterful, like all of his recent ones have been.

Add in Donaire and then his intention's to try to unify 118 after he becomes undisputed at 115 and we may have a certified ATG on our hands.

It's an exciting time to be a Cristian Mijares fan and how blessed we are that he fought through a bunch of hard episodes and brought himself to the top(many times lower weight division fighters get ****ed over).

He is a true champion with true intentions of achieving greatness.:good

On a side note Mijares fans, I'd say he has until he's 32 with his current style to still be a top form fighter and he's now 26, how do you like his chances to become a top 5 Mexican fighter of all time by the end?

Munoz is going to get owned...badly.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a clean sweep on the scorecards assuming Doug Tucker or Chuck Giampa are doing the cards.

Munoz, Montiel, Donaire, Darch, Kirilov, and a few bantamweight titleholders would be an astoundingly good resume.

Mijares-Mabuza is a dream fight of mine, though I'd be completely torn in terms of loyalty. Also, while I think Mijares could rely on his style to do well against many at 118, Silence is very strong and this could end up pretty close.

Another unconscionable judge has tried - and failed - to stop the Express.
