According to Mauro Ronallo, there have been five knockdowns suffered by Rafa in his career.

...only five? That seems wrong. Bernstein probably would've corrected him if it was, though. That dude KSAB.

    Round 4

Esquivias is walking through some big right hands when Marquez plants his feet and chucks them in past his single or double jab. Esquivias is uppercutting the body and pushing Marquez into the ropes. Esquivias is beginning to roll his neck and make the Marquez counter 1-2 only partially land or cascade past his ears. Lunging right hand by Esquivias scores flush. Jabs traded as Esquivias pushes Marquez back. Overhand right by Esquivias. Big left hand by Esquivias before the bell, knocking Marquez into the ropes!

    10-9 Esquivias

    38-38

Marquez's career is truly on the line here.

They just said that Nacho Beristain stipulated if he didn't perform well tonight (not only come through victorious but look good) he wouldn't train him anymore...in which case he just shouldn't bother keeping on.

    It's slipping away from him...

al is by far the best in boxing.

its great to finally see the showtime guys get their due.

    lampley and merchant were terrible.

you get the feeling that jim is the kind of guy that would cry if you punched him in the face.

what kind of man beats his wife?

Someone forgot to tell Esquivias that he's supposed to be here as cannon-fodder.

    Round 5

Esquivias is shimmying and weaving on the way in, making the Marquez jab and right cross miss as he reaches out with long hooks and rights to catch Marquez even as he sits back and rolls down on the back foot. Esquivias is hooking and tossing overhand rights pushing Marquez to the perimeter and snapping his head back. Hard straight counters by Marquez, not enough.

    10-9 Esquivias

    48-47 Esquivias

Nacho should stop the fight after this round. Marquez is getting punished out there.

I hate to say it, especially since I do like Marquez (just not as much as his arch-rival) - but this could be viewed as poetic justice for the fourth installment with Vazquez...
