P4P is mythical and fantasy. It doesn't exist. There is no such thing as a P4P championship or champion. Additionally, because of the awful fights Jones was having at 175 many people were ranking other fighters ahead of him who were making legit and meaningful fights at the time.

DM was THE champion and Roy never fought him just like he never fought THE champion in any weightclass he was in. Ever.

I want Louden to answer this on his own and explain to me why DM should have went and fought for his vacated WBA and IBF belts. Do you even realize how foolish you would have to be to suggest such? It is like saying Lennox Lewis should have fought Ruiz or Byrd :lol::lol::lol::lol:

    1. If Roy's belts held no value, then Dariusz's WBO belt that he won from Barber, must have been absolutely worthless.

    2. Roy was once a JMW. Spinks's natural walking around weight was between 185-190 pounds.

    They were mandatories. :patsch

By fighting them he got the majority of the purse, and he got to keep hold of his belts.

What did Joe bring to the table?

    Nothing!

They didn't even fight in the same weight division.

Many years ago, they were only 8 divisions, with one champ per division.

Unfortunately, it's not like that anymore.

But if you're going to say that Roy's belts were meaningless, you've then got to apply the same criteria for every other modern day fighter.

And if you did that, then nobody will have achieved anything.

    So stop being so biased.

    :lol::lol::rofl:rofl

You still don't understand this. When there is already a champion THE champion in a Division which DM was the belts are ****ing meaningless after that point. Let me explain this to you. Wlad Klitschko could drop his WBO, IBF, WBA, IBO, belts tomorrow and some guy say David Haye could come in and win every last one of them in 4 consecutive fights and it would not mean one damn thing. Do you understand this? I feel like I am talking to a petulant child that doesn't understand the very sport he is posting about.

Bull****. Spinks had to gain 30 lbs of muscle for Holmes.

He put nearly 30 pounds of muscle on boxer Michael Spinks

That's more than Jones' claim of 20 lbs for Ruiz.

    They don't travel now.

    Or at least Wlad doesn't.

    Do you know why?

    Because he doesn't have to.

But before he became 'The Man' who held nearly all of the belts, he DID.

    You really are clueless!

His feeble chin was exposed in 1998, and then he fought a 226 pound HW, who'd knocked Evander down, in 2003.

I have been over this with you too many times..

    I won't be bothered.

But I will like to add that as soon as the Ruiz fight and Tarver fights were announced nobody gave a **** about Jones-DM... I wonder why?

As a Boxing fan for 30 years I am well aware how many divisoions there used to be. Also, you still seem to not understand this topic so no it does not make every other fighter having accomplished nothing by winning belts. It is not my problem you can't understand how Boxing works. Parading around with a bunch of stripped meaningless belts when there is already a champion in a division is worthless. Which is exactly what Jones was doing and is EXACTLY what he did when he won the WBA from Ruiz. I am not going to explain this to a novice like you again.
