I don't care what you think, because I know who he fought. He did not miss all of his contemporaries. He beat fighters in title fights to take their belts. At LHW, he consistently fought top ten opposition.
He litterally cleared out the entire top 10 save DM for multiple years of ratings. What you don't see, is most of those top 10 on DM's resume. I think it hurts DM's legacy more than it does Roy's.
Bernard Hopkins is an old slick c*on (replace * with the letter o) Racist Roy Steroid cheat. Check Racist. Check. Blood sport enthusiast. Check Sexual deviant. Check Adulterer. Check Owner of a repulsive glass Jaw. Check Ducker. Check Cherry picker. Check. Fraud. Check.
That's not remotely racist, and this has been explained before. The only things you mention that are valid are: * steroid cheat * "cherry picker" (to some extent) I won't call him a "ducker". But he did not aggressively seek out the toughest challenges, regardless of the orchestrated narrative his advocates tediously attempt explaining to no avail. But I do find it interesting that his biggest supporters sweep the positive test of a banned substance under the rug as if that didn't raise questions about the validity of all his accomplishments.
It wasn't Roy's fault what happened. Roy already had the WBC, and he then beat two guys for Dariusz's old belts. During negotiations, Roy held all three major belts. If that pi$$ed Dariusz off, he could have fought Roy to get them back. But his resume tells me that he wasn't that upset.
He was sick to death of the talk, when nothing was happening. Brad Jacobs and Kerry Davis of HBO, tried to make the fight. Do we really have to upload all of the links again? Find me one link, where HBO criticised Roy for not fighting him in 2001.
What utter poppycock. Them's the facts, nuthugger. Deal with it and move on with your life. If you can't handle the heat get your god damn ass out of the kitchen.
Everythngs not about Roy. And some of your excuse like his daddy didnt tell him he could have a title shot are simply not valid reasons, please. I dont care what the mans own "glory" documentary says There was a clear line at that time for 175lb division and DM was the champ and lost it in the ring after 48 fights approx. You know this. but happy new year Loudon :good
Without borrowing Doc Brown's time machine, what was he supposed to do? Roy didn't want to go to Germany, and Dariusz wouldn't leave Germany. It was a stalemate. So what if he never fought Lennox Lewis? That doesn't mean it wasn't an achievement beating Ruiz. It's also not Roy's fault that there's four main belts in boxing, instead of one. Stop hating.
I wasn't literally asking why Dariusz didn't fight Del Valle and Guthrie/Johnson. I was merely highlighting the fact, that fighters miss certain guys through circumstances. You list names of guys who Roy missed, but then will refuse point blank to allow for any circumstances. So I was playing you at your own game. Which is why I started asking you why Dariusz didn't fight Del Valle, Johnson, Tarver, Harding and Roy etc. Do you understand? If I ask why Dariusz didn't fight someone, you'll give me a reason. But if I say that Roy couldn't fight Liles, then I'm making excuses and Roy was a ducker. Double standards. You have reasons. I have excuses. That's how you view things. Because your hate blinds you from seeing any objectivity.
