Criticizing Jones' resume

He was wrong and I showed him how wrong he was. Holyfield wanted the Lennox fight and Lennox wanted the Holyfield fight. That is what champions do. They face each other. Jones did nothing of the sort. Ever.

 

You refused to read the article my man rather siting an unsubstantiated source that would be biased any way. On top of that Jones fought plenty of titlists. Tarver, Johnson and DeValle come to mind...Ruiz and others. If thats what champions due its time to give him credit. Capishe?

 

Sorry but Johnson, Del Valle, and even Tarver do not compare to Evander and Lennox. Maybe I should have clarified. Plus the belts Johnson and Del Valle had were useless paperbelts that had been stripped from DM. They didn't mean anything and none of those fights were on the level of a Holyfield-Lennox fight.

No, the belts were as legit as they get if you follow the ABC orgs. DM could have fought those guys but didnt. And lets not forget Jones beat Ruiz who beat Evander. :nono

 

It had EVERYTHING to do with getting that Lennox fight and since you are the expert you should know that Holyfield and Jim Thomas haven't been together for years and do not even talk any anymore.

Evander vs Lennox was the biggest fight in boxing.

But AGAIN, that had nothing to do with why Evander didn't want to fight Roy.
