Criticizing Marquez for boxing

nope, technical boxer like jmm got punished by the judges because of the contant inactivity during the first 2 mins of each round where pac would outlound him in that time. have a look at the judg that gave jmm the draw, he stated in an interview after.the fight that he scores it min by minute and also says thata.boxer has to do alot to steal the round if he was out scored for the majority of the round.

jmm left too much doubt in a close fight and the judges went for pac. Dont forget pac made jmm miss as much as jmm made pqc miss in this fight

 

anyway i blame pac for not making it a war.

he was more conservative and more 'schooled' than the previous 2 fights where he went out there like the tazmanian devil forcing jmm to throw long strings of combos.

 

Pac needs to bring back shades of the tazmanian devil. Tbh i think he's just too nice in the ring.

 

I havn't watched any broadcasts but the HBO one, how were the commentators from other broadcasts reacting to the fight throughout up till the decision? Pac winning? JMM? Draw? too close to call?

Why should a fighter change his style for anyone if the formula he's been using has made him successful? The sport of boxing is not a street fight. Fighters should always stick to what they're most comfortable with (but at the same time always look to improve). As you can see a more cautious and tactical Pacquiao actually made him less effective against an intelligent fighter like Marquez. If JMM became more of a brawler he'd take a step back as well. It's counterproductive.

If you're into brainless sluggers, fine. No problem. But don't condemn technicians as if they don't belong in the sport. You have the freedom to pick and choose fighters. If you can't appreciate tacticians then it's simple - don't watch them.

From what I understand, even the Pinoy team had it for Marquez.

......both the British and Mexican team there were in disbelief and up at arms they could take it from Marquez like that and were outraged.
