Hey guys id like to hear your opinions on a recent sparring session The kid is quite good. Im the one with the white headgear. Been boxing for about 8-9 months. Sparring for about 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7a5T3dUYw3c&feature=youtu.be Thanks.
Good footwork. You need more head movement or counters to keep your sparring partner guessing. Keep working. Stay hungry. I'd like to take a jab at you and say you've been doing this for longer than 9 months though.
try to change tempo sometimes, you start to be predictable. and more jabs 3:35 of second video (april 25 1) you needed to cut the ring overall quality sparring and nice to watch this black guy is very good also and i too wouldnt say that you train 8-9 months :good
average sparring pal,,,can give advise but I'm not ,,,your a bull shitter 8-9 months back from a lay off more like ,,,but anyway you look a confident boxer with the flouting jab ,,,etc :vonnecunt thats what id do to you for lying
Thanks guys! Im really flattered that you guys think i've been training longer ...Started in July last summer and weighed over 200 pounds...now im down to 160 and feel great. Its pretty frustrating when my best punch (the jab) gets so discouraged against this kid but lands on some of the other guys in the gym like clock work. Hes a good counter puncher so i guess ive got to mix it up and use the jab to get inside.
yeah, i call bull**** too! farv too good for 9 months. idf it is only 9 months youre talented and a c u next tuesday
He does look very good for 9 months training. However, most people could achieve similar results if: They are dedicated. They are actively trying to improve every session They love the sport. They study the sport and try and gain as much info as possible from a variety of sources. They have a good coach. They have appropriate sparring. They train often. They have decent coordination.
A lot of things to point out, but its mainly strategic issues. Just dont be so lazy with your left. Sharper, faster, more pop in it and bring it back properly... The game will flow differently.
id say try and come forward with a strong jab just to gain ground and pressure him and when you got him on the ropes and he's getting super low, you shouldn't stop punching. that was a tall guy and he is not built to be doing stuff like that. If you focus on throwing a lot of short solid punches in combinations when you get on the inside and he's moving his head a lot, he's gonna have a really hard time countering but if you back up then he can rip you up with those body shots of his.
You pretty good mate- there's no bull**** there that's what you should look like after 9 months. You look like you've been instructed quite well. How many fights has the other kid had
I don't think it's a great post. Yeah other people could be about as good if they have the things he said and maybe I'm taking it wrong but to me it just seemed a bit unecessary. Taking someone complimenting him and then just turning it around, just seems a bit dickish is all.
