Funny enougth you can go faster, but at the same time give Him distance let him work at his distance not yours just dont be in front of Him practice the little shifts and cons. He will get His confidence and relax, a year down the line you have a good partner. Plus He will learn how to sparr novices, then it becomes an ongoing thing
You look really good for that amount of experience. Only thing I'd tell you at this point is always keep your eyes on that opponent. When you look away is when you get hit. Start doing that and a lot of other stuff will fall into place.
