Damn, after he seemed so happy and revitalized, too. Well hey, you can't blame a guy whose had a great career if he wants to bow out after a good performance. I applaud him saying that he'll leave the sport on a high note.

But man, if we couldn't get just ONE MORE left head kick KO...

I doubt this is it. Mirko usually does alot of career talking after he fights I think hes just proud of his best win in over 3 years and is thinking hey maybe its time to bow out on a good note. After a few weeks he will resign with the UFC and keep on fighting.

It would be a good time to bow out after a great career and I think that win flattered him. I thought he was gonna announce his retirement in the cage after the fight tbh when he took the mic and made a lil speech.

He should fight the winner of Couture and James Toney

I agree 100% that those would be great fights. Both Couture and Crocop are past their best and both would have an opportunity for a win that would boost their legacy. If Toney wins by some crazy chance, a boxer gets to fight an MMA striker, a great fight to have after beating the wrestler.

That said, Crocop has given so much to MMA that if he wants to go out on this win he should. He has nothing to prove.

That was reminiscient of his PrideFC days, all those guys used to grab the mic away from the announcer/interviewer and make a speech.

Actually this is the second time he mentioned it, if you watch the post fight presser, he was asked whether he was gone sign with the UFC again, he replied by saying he will be with the UFC fighting or not, I was surprized no one from the panel made him elaborate on the not part, but he made it seem like the retirement was indeed an option.

I would LOVE to see one last left..But im probably even happier knowing how he left the sport after such a good win..Considering if he retired durin his losses..Now if he does retire i have a good lil memory there on his last 'bout. Im fine with it..

Good point ill remember this fight forever and for good reason. The young stud in Pat Barry roughs up CroCop alittle with 2 early KDs but the legend wears him out with grappling in the 2nd, turns the tide and scores a KD in round 3 and finishes it with a few secounds left with a RNC and gives us a damn good post fight interview. Not to mention the class showed in this fight was beautiful. Easily one of my favorite Cro Cop fights and lets be honest hes got plenty of K-1 and MMA fights to love.

Im suprised by that.....he said that he hadn't sparred much in the past but he did this time and it made a great difference to his performance. Thought he might carry on now he has a new regimen.

I be happy for him to retire of back of that win. He was shaken up and put down twice. He's probably thought..let's leave on a winning note. He knows the top of the UFC division are gonna be a hard climb for him and he already said fighting for just the money is a bad bad move. I'm happy with this decision.

Nice at least he won his last fight. Chuck liddell should have retired after he beat wanderlei silva.

    Good luck crocop.
