cro cop vs rampage jackson

    i know one is heavyweight and the other light heavyweight, however if their weight was somewhere in the middle of where they usually fight, who would win?
    obviously i'm talking about if both were in the prime.

    would cro cop just cut him down?
    would rampage knock cro cop out with a left hook like he did in the third silva fight?

    Never ever count out Rampage with his power punches especially when a guy has a average chin like Cro Cop but I think Cro Cop's kicks break down Rampage and he finishes him in the 3rd round.

    thats not a bad matchup.

    Cro-cops chin is not the most durable and Rampage has one hell of a punch, and has a iron chin(though if that LHK connected it would still be over for mr Jackson)

    I pick Cro-cop, rampage would have a hard time taking Mirko down, and would be forced to stand and strike with mirko who is the better striker and more versatile to boot. I would also like to add mirko has a powerful lowkick when he chooses to use it, and rampage for some reason seems to be vulnerable to lowkicks.

    Cro-cop is faster and movement would probably trouble rampage who manytimes waits to counterpunch which would be a big mistake against a powerful acurate fighter like cro-cop.

    I think Mirko gets the stoppage.

    Prime for prime I would choose CC because his kicks would wreak havoc on a robotic Rampage who is tough and powerful but would be facing power that drops heavies.

    yeah rampage does seem susceptiblto low kicks, doesn't he? was it forrest griffin who tormented him by constantly kicking rampage's lower legs?

    if they fought nowadays i would expect rampage would win fairly easily, don't you think?

    I think Cro Cop dictates the range with his leg/body kicks and left hand and cant see Rampage getting inside to do his best work with his hooks Yaca. You see a case for Rampage?

    lands a big hook... smothers him in close uppercuts and knees.... takedowns and gnp.....

    I agree with you stoo not likely with cro-cops movement and quick straight left, Rampage is pretty predictable, and cro-cop would be ready for a rampage counter hook, and keep his distance/hands up, unlike chucky.

    Just wondering if someone out there on the web saw it different...guess not.

    I was thinking that too, but Rampage does not want to go anywhere near a clinch with Mirko, for obvious reasons.
