he has to go to Billy Nelson to teach him a defence.

Made Burns a solid world level operator as opposed to a pro with an amateur style that he initially had.

I think we can all agree that Crolla needs to leave Gallagher, this walking forward with the hands up, square on and defending with the face is not the way to win fights or maintain longevity.

I agree totally, Crolla does seem to possess some talent. He does have a good guard but also like you say walking forward doesn't do him any favors.

Doesn't have to I think. Provided he could be trusted to maintain fitness between fights and perhaps moving to Scotland for 12 weeks to prepare for fight surely that would be sufficient then he should give it a go.

Maybe, not sure he'd be willing to do it though. Does anyone know why he left Arnie in first place?..

Yeah he left because ****** wouldnt renew his contract and Arnie is contracted to ******.

Cant see Crolla relocating seeing as he cant make a brew without his mothers help, as seen on Ringside.

:lol: Cheers mate, did wonder why he'd leave Arnie.

  9. He had to leave Arnie because he left Allegedly to go with Hatton.

If (and this is a big if) he or anyone else did decide to go with Nelson he wouldn't have to move to Scotland, he could simply do a month or six weeks up there. Not everyone gets three stone overweight and needs so long to get ready.

Of course there's nothing to stop Billy setting up a camp either side of Hadrian's Wall somewhere like McCracken does in Sheffield and inviting all comers.

He needs to get sparing in America and get promoted by Eddie Hearn.

Getting his arse over the wall might be a barrier.

Ah, but he cost poor Ricky the Mayweather fight. Him and Cortez...oh and Mayweather. Mainly Mayweather!!!

  14. It's a shame what happened with Graham, though I don't think he helped himself by working exclusively with Ricky, and also allowing himself to be typecast in the way that he prepared his fighters.

Some of the advice he gave Hatton in the corner against Floyd was bang on, work the jab to the body and try to operate at mid-range, and before the fight he was regularly saying how good Floyd was on the inside - which is contrary to how many people viewed him at the time, as basically a little sissy who didn't fancy it.

When you see clowns like Vince Cleverly overseeing world title fights and other pretty poor trainers just wafting the towel in domestic fights..... he is a bit of a loss to the game, both in terms of his ability and also being a character.
