    Why is it??

i don't wanna see him rushed into anything or to see him being used as a stepping stone for any1 elses career.

I wanna see him win the Lonsdale outright then go onto bigger things, and a fight with derry will get him on the road to winning the lonsdale.

Anthony Crolla will 1 day be a world champion.

Any1 can say what they like about that but i know Anthony, i know how obsessed he is with boxing and he wants that more than anything, so thats my honest opinion based on what i see.

Ricky Burns has done it, Crolla can also.

Crolla wins in the later rounds. He could of done it last fight against willie limond but didnt want to, from the 9th round onwards he didnt throw any big combinations or look for the stoppage it was just jab and body shots.

Personally........yes, but hes surprised me before now and who am i to say he cant do it again.

i look at the 135's in Britain

Gavin Rees.......gettin on abit now, way past his best.
Mitchell........cant keep his life dedicated to boxing which is a shame coz hes got all the tools to do it.
Murray.......as above, just needs to develop a defence.
Crolla.......totally dedicated in training and he Lives Boxing, never drinks, always fit and in the gym.

I believe out of all the lightweights in Britain Crolla will be the 1 who will follow in Burns footsteps.

    I hope so anyway :good

crolla murray would be class. probably sparred tons of rounds already tho

sfw domestically is very good tho as well

  7. I just think Mathews has had his day.

I'd rather Crolla fight the best fighters in the domestic division if he wants to win a Lonsdale outright.

As for being a world champion, I've got reservations just like I have over practically everyone, but good luck to him.

Crolla all day, think Derry might have had his best days. Crolla is completely dedicated and model pro, definately has the potential to go a long way

Yet another horrible post, confiriming you know nothing about boxing and can't see a good stylistic match up.

Sell it to me then ****. It is a **** fight, Mathews was cooked when his head hit the bottom rope against Lindsay.

    Daft *****.

  14. Good answer :nut

I just expect better for a British title fight than an opponent with six KO losses, and hardly any good wins since his first defeat about four years ago.

Nothing against Derry at all, but he's really not all that. A weak chin, a dislike for pressure fighters and a ****ed nose.

The division isn't exactly stacked, but they could have gotten someone better. I'm sure a good super feather like Sykes would have took it, or Buckland perhaps, he struggles getting fights.

Watson was an alright opponent and Limond would have been if he'd tried, but Mathews shouldn't really be in the mix without a consistent run of victories over some decent contenders.

I think Crolla vs Matthews is decent, Marsilli was a very strong LW who punched with speed and in southpaw stance. I think Derry's been good on the comeback run sadly his nose is a mess and i don't think it will hold up to any form of punishment.

He may actually do well early, it's after the opening few rounds how does he hold up. He was very brave against Marsilli you could seen the anguish on his face. He wanted it so bad. Felt for the lad..
