Crolla not getting the belt is Hearns karma for Burns-Beltran

The reason im goin about this is cos rankings dont mean $hit !! totally manipulated. That means that you think its a disgrace that AJ isnt exclusivley fighting top 3 ranked opponents or the title holders?

 

yeah but everyone was wrong then as you have just agree'd. So we have the agreement that he is good enough. IMO there should be no complaints if someone was fighting and they were not of that level then you have point, but when said fighter is good enough and in this case BETTER then i dont see the arguement.

 

he is a better fighter thats what gets him the title shot.... I assume you think if a Floyd/Pacma/ anyone that has moved up in weight should progress right thro the rankings and have 5/6 fights, to prove they are the best at that weight to then be deserving of a title fight?

 

Bunch of clowns! This has nothing to do with Hearn, this is all about the fact that Crolla deserved that belt and not one sane person would be happy to see him without the belt. Another thing, two wrongs don't make a right do they? Would you rather see one or two bad results? I know which one I would choose and as a boxing fan I would like to see the deserved winner winning every time.

 

In your opinion you didnt think he was good enough ... i did ..I wouldnt have said he was a failed fighter either no ... and as i said the fight we just watched PROVED he isnt just domestic level he is world level he proved it by outperforming a world champion

Did Crolla deserve a title shot. Yes. Why? Because his promoter negotiated one and he sold enough tickets to justify why his promoter did that. Not pretending it's fair but thats the real world, it's nothing new. You could have the same argument about every voluntary, and some of the mandatory defences but the argument will be based in the same things - bitterness

Was the draw a fair result? I don't think so, thought Crolla rocked it but boxing is subjective and always has the ability to bite you in the ass. I just hope Crolla; as a UK fighter, someone who is clearly dedicated to the sport I love and acknowledge be everyone in the game to be a nice bloke can build on it - both from confidence and commercial perspectives

Payback for Beltran!!!! Wtf. I don't think the Beltran decision did boxing any favours but it has f all to do with Crolla and suggesting It is good because of Hearn. Grow up. He is a promoter, no publicity is bad publicity

Lightweight division is weak. Only worry about the things you can control or impact. That is for other fighters to up their game but I think there are some quality lightweights out there. No doubt there will be reply saying 'not as good as in such a person day'. Yet when whoever you mention was fighting, the same debates probably raged

I suppose that half of Lennox Lewis defences dont hold water cos there was little amount of fighters at "world level" the best guys in the division are the ones that set the standard of world level

Do you think that world level is a specific standard ?? ie like boxers are ranked in score of how good they are so Crolla would be like 80/100 and Floyd 98/100 with "world level" being a cut off 90/100 No course its not !! World level is the level of the best in the world at said weight ..... simples !!

 

you say that and its your opinion ... i say that in comparison to the champs around him he is better therefore deserves a shot. If a guy is good enough then that should be the guage for a fight taking place not rankings /not popularity/not geographic location ..... is he GOOD enough. What we seen supports my point of view i feel.

 

disagree ..... dont remember the furore and threads complaining about him gettin the title shot. And to be honest iv always been rather inpressed with Crolla especially with his improvements in the last 2/3 years

 

And before the fight at the weekend did you think Derry would win in a 3rd fight ? I didnt and i certainly dont now .... Personally i can see a fairly big improvement in Crolla since the last draw with Derry
