Surely there are better (and feasible) fights than Murray for Burns?

The WBO top 15 is dire though.

Edit - Burns - Lundy would be interesting, but highly unlikely

Level's my friend, Murray probably bangs harder than Crolla but is no danger to Burns he hasn't got nearly enough fire power. Who has he stopped who is anywhere near Burns level? Most his fights end with his pressure not his power.

I dunno so much. I always saw Mitchell as Frank's blue-eyed boy but i could be wrong. It's the way I perceive things because Frank has spent lots of time and effort with Mitchell.

Murray is too one dimensional to be able to change things and become a complete fighter. He always looks to do the same things which is headhunt and look to stop late. Any opponent worth their salt will slip punches and counter, repeat for 4 or 5 rounds and Murray's ready for the taking.

If I was Joe G I would knock fight back and look for a few learning fights more for defense. Get some more body shots going (Lee Mc stoppage note) and he is good to go again for some trinket. He will never be a World Champ, well a legit one anyway.

Mitchell is the truth. Would like to see him v Burns but after the both have a fight before they meet up.

100% Murray v Mitchell fight was made for Murray to win ask anyone on here, Frank was pissed with Kev since the Katsidis fight, and even since beating Murray Kev has had a few harsh words about Frank.

Murray was suppose to win that fight in Franks world. :good

    i know.

**** opponent but honestly, would it surprise you?

"Celtic Clash! Only one defeat! Andy Murray but not as you know him! Game, set and match to Burns! Was in a wheelchair, great story! Former european title challenger!"

See this is the problem with text.

On paper he is a perfect opponent for his form. Of course I know about levels hence why I am suggesting him as an opponent. Murray can hurt you and has a good record. He is on the decline and the 'timings right' just as it was with Katsidis :good

Murray would hurt Burns if he tagged him clean I will say that now. But Burns is too clever now and he should stop Murray. The key as I said is to keep him at range and box off jab. Murray comes in straight lines so show him some angles and he is ****ed. Easy night's work for Burns if he want's it to be.

I dunno so much. I saw it as a 'lets see who is best fight' and cash in. Anybody who knows there boxing would tell you Mitchell is a better fighter so it would be shortsighted to guide Murray's career over Mitchell's (I picked Mitchell to outclass Murray :) ), but there is definitely troubles between Frank and Mitchell. More born out of frustration than anything else.

I certainly hear your point and that of others but for me I see Mitchell as Franks blue-eyed boy. Paying him whilst out injured is a clear sign of that, when Mitchell was working on London Underground it is 'known' Frank gave him ££££'s to tick him over. Not the sign of a bad relationship.

All the way from Accra-Ghana, the hard-hitting, never been stopped, ex commonwealth super-featherweight challenger, 'George 'The Red Tiger' Ashie!

    http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=223755&cat=boxer

He's just passed the Prince Nurudeen test too, taking care of the African lightweight gatekeeper within five rounds. He fought Zakaria Salifu in a prison canteen (!), and VVarren will still have his mobile number from the Mitchell fight.

    Sorted.

*I like Burns, hope it's a decent opponent, he deserves it.

Not really short sighted no one new what Mitchell was upto he hadnt fought for over a year, ****** has just signed Murray on a big contract I very much doubt he brought him in his first fight to be fed to the wolves that fight did not go to plan at all for ******.

Mitchell had not been in the ring for over a year, do you really think ****** would of put Mitchell in there with no warm up since the Kats fight? He was hoping Kev was there for the taking, I picked a fully focused Mitchell to win the fight, but like everyone else wasn't sure what Mitchell we would get with him blowing all his money on the **** and his last performance with Kats.

There was a reason Murray was a 1/2 fav for the fight majority thought Mitchell was done. So did Frank he actually looked gutted Mitchell won that fight

**** me mate when was that? A long time ago Frank wasn't happy after the money he invested with the Kat fight, and since the Murray fight Kev has been questioning Frank an awful log and throwing the odd insult his way aswell.

Since the beginning I've wanted Sarfo 'better than Nelson as he's not from Accra with a great surname like' Tyson to get the shot.

    Would be hilarious.

I reckon Frank has no time for John Murray and will chuck him in  Or is he still waiting to be paid for Rios?

When he had that year out.

"Frank ****** looks after me and helped me pay the mortgage while I wasn’t boxing because of injury. I needed the money to keep my family going."
