Big time i have a laugh here but Beltran has my full gym attention,Moses would beat Crolla with ease jim,Mitchell would start a strong favourite too imo, i was basing the old cook with Anthony as well i should have said.
Laraya was riuned by Ricky imo as well he took a bit of a beating that night

  2. That's get this right this is all about a fight that is rumoured
Burns has a very tough fight with raymundo beltran coming up and I'm sure there won't be many criticising the choice of opponent afterwards
Who is to say that the crolla fight is something that Eddie is hoping will catch momentum in case fights with Crawford or Vazquez don't take place next time
The crolla Rees fight was not an official eliminator so there is nothing that says burns has to or will even have this talked about fight
Billy nelson is honest enough on here for me to believe that himself and Ricky want the big fights so if that is the consensus then I'm sure Hearn will be trying to produce them
However with the minefield that is boxing politics to be crossed every time a unification fight takes place perhaps Hearn has crolla sat on the back burner

All this fuss over a fight no one has confirmed will happen, mayweather canelo, matthysse Garcia, klitschko povetkin and price Thompson combined don't get the same response on the Brit forum

Fair enough mate, just thought I'd put my opinion out there with it. I do see where your coming from with Moses, but I think he was on his way down after the Burns fight and he is 35 now. I also agree Mitchell would start as bookies favourite but I'd be lumping on Crolla, I think he has enough to beat him. All the best with the Beltran fight, should be a good'un and people on here seem to be ignoring it completely, good to hear the focus is their in the gym pal.

The ghost of Moses? Moses destroyed Mzonke Fana in his last fight, anything to discredit Burns opponents it seems, no way in hell is Crolla better than Moses or level with Mitchell, at least Mitchell flattened unbeaten John Murray prior to being flattened himself by Burns, Anthony got a lucky break vs Rees coming off a devastating defeat and Anthony himself not long after getting stopped and drawing with Derry Matthews, that doesn't put him a level above or level with any of these guys, as much as I like him

And yes it was fair to say how Cook and Laryea etc were terrible opponents during Burns superfeatherweight days, but that was a long time ago and Burns opponents have improved significantly at lightweight, those fights are no longer relevant

I was being more than a bit extreme in that case I agree, but he wasn't/isn't as good now at 35 as he was 4 years ago. Of course I'd rather see Burns in with someone better than Crolla, but I know Crolla and will support him in this case. He isn't as bad as some of Burns other title fights, yet it seems to be getting a bigger backlash, with even Billy going against the fight (he never did it with any of the others). I really disagree with the Mitchell one, at least Crolla is consistant, Mitchell at his best would most likely beat Crolla, but I don't think we'll see Mitchell at his best ever again.
