Potentially the best fight of the night. How does everyone see it going. I think it will either be Crolla on points or a Matthews stoppage. Tough one to call.

Same, I think if Crolla can avoid the uppercuts he'll win the fight on points.

Should be a good one though.

I've seen that with the bookies all the money is on Crolla, but I expect a UD for Legen'Derry Matthews.

Crolla via stoppage, and setup a 3rd down the line

Crolla is still trained by Gallagher. Thought Crolla was in control of the fight last time until Derry caught him with that big upper cut. Matthews will be better prepared having a full training camp this time. Certainly a 50/50 fight and wouldn't be surprised at any outcome.

Close fight, Matthews may have the physiological and physical advantages but is also pretty shop worn from having been in so many wars. He cuts very easily and struggles with body shots, which Crolla throws well, I really can't call a winner to be honest.

I think matthews gets the stoppage again. He hurt crolla every time he landed clean.crolla does not know what to do when hurt and thats why he got stopped. Why wasnt he moving? Because he csnt take a backward step. Why wasnt he holding? Because he dont know how. He will have worked on being more patient and will be trying to dig the shots in to the mid section, where matthews is vulnerable. But he has to be in punching range to do that and he is going to be there to be hit agsin plus he is chinny. Matthews will get him going if he lands and crolla wont know how to survive agajn.i can see crolla breaking matthew down though. One thing i do not see is this fight going the distance because i dont think crolla iscoming for a points win and i dont think he would be able to stick and move for 12 rounds anyway. So, in what will become a shootout,im going with the guy who can take the other guys punches better and at least can run and hold and survive when hurt. Matthews has been hurt enough times to know how to survive even though he has been broken down many times. Crolla has no survival game.

Lovely kid crolla, buy looking past that he will keep coming forward hustling Derry ( gallegher fighter) and Derry whilst hitting him will lean on him in fact do everything thats possible by the taller guy against the smaller crolla to win advantage .
Derry has travelled the world preparing for this there not loosing this one

Crolla should change his style i like Joe as a person from interviews but dont like the style he sets his fighters, i cant believe crolla thinks it is right and does not know what to do

I agree, Joe's style works well for Liam smith and Quigg but not for Crolla who has the ability to outbox people like Derry but gets caught up in wars too easily, same with stephen Smith.

I think Mathews will beat him again, personally.

Crolla is better than him, but fights in a style that's completely alien to him.... he'll carry on getting beaten (and knocked out occasionally) unless he changes back to his natural way.

Not every Manchester fighter can fight like Ricky Hatton.... Hatton was durable enough and had some clever defensive moves that meant he wasn't getting badly bashed up in every fight, sharp footwork for a start and decent head movement (until 2006ish).

The current crop of Manc fighters have plodding feet, a guard that's WAY too high and no head movement.

It's only a matter of time before one of them gets seriously hurt. John Murray might already be the first victim of that style, Stephen Smith was chinned by Selby pretty badly, he might be the next unfortunately.
