I think a great opponents would be the following David Anevasyen Besputin Ray Robinson Abel Ramos Jamal James then to the top guys in the division like Ugas right throught to Spence, Pac etc... He throws his right square on and needs to be more defensively minded on the attack, more combinations and positioning to setup up combinations.
His build and natural attributes are out of hand and so his ceiling is a top P4P fighter. He needs to take his skills to the next level, anyone Ugas and better would dominate him today. In a world where an early career loss isn't an unforgivable sin Ramos would be amazing to light a fire under Ennis and accelerate his development but the outcome is not 100% certain so I doubt it will happen. What might be the best fight is that European out-boxer Formella that Porter just cruised past. You knock out the guy who survived Porter then that would build enormous hype and with Formella's low power it's a rather low chance Ennis takes much damage.
This. Welterweight has been stacked for a while now. But barely anything has happened. We get one or two big fights a year in a division that could offer us much, much more.
Both would beat Crawford right now in my opinion. I hope they don't fight each other until both have a belt.
I’m really high on Boots. Fun to watch, aggressive, good hand speed, long, great combination puncher, excellent reflexes, very athletic, smooth feet, always in great shape and solid power. He can lead, he can counter, he fights off the ropes and he can catch and shoot with his reflexes and timing. He also stopped Abreu with 10 oz gloves because Abreu was over 147. Very impressed with his skill set and he’s still only 23. With he and Verg, the future at 147 is very bright. Two potential pound for pound guys. Love watching both of them.
Well put. With experience, his man strength growing, and his prime still to come, Ennis will definitely be P4P 1. No doubt about it. Most of all, he has one punch power in both hands, and can fight effectively from orthodox or south paw. To add the cherry on top, Jaron is 5 ft 10 in which is big for a welterweight. I think we should start calling him Jiren because he is going to be too much for anyone at 147 lbs.
