How would David Haye 6 3 and 198 lbs in his last fight,do at heavyweight against Floyd Patterson 6 0 and around 190/192 ,one of the smaller modern heavyweight champs?

    Haye TKO 6.

Some will have youbeleive Johanssen was a great heavyweight, he wasnt. Take his title winning performamce away from Patterson and his resume is overral very under whelming and H2H I dont favour him too much against other heavys.

Floyd Patterson one of the more overrated world heavyweight champs of all time.

Floyd a bigger puncher. Obviously, you never know but I go with Floyd. Floyd was at his best when he fought guys his weight. Ali and Liston were too big for him.

in a heavyweight title fight, haye would come in way over 200lbs, Patterson would be dwarfed again.

Haye by discombobulating knockout. Weak chinned boxer-swarmer vs puncher. And even if Haye is a cruiserweight, he's at a severe size advantage. 6'3" 210+lbs when he gets in the ring, vs 6'0 190lbs.

Patterson would knock him out, Haye could never get away with having his hands low against a fighter with the speed of Patterson and Haye has been down from much worse fighters then Floyd. Haye defence is based upon his reflexes which are slower then Floyd's. Who has Haye fought who is even near Patterson?

How can a Haye fan call Patterson overrated? Look at Floyd resume:
    He beat the likes of
    Yvon Durelle
    Tommy Jackson
    Archie Moore (an ATG)
    Johansson
    Eddie Machen
    George Chuvalo
You could say he deserved a win against Quarry
    Ellis (this was a robbery)
    Oscar Bonavena
Joey Maxim (I have not seen this fight but know many who feel Floyd won)

And he fought two all time great heavyweights Liston and Ali and put up a good performance second time against Ali.

Haye has been down from worse fighters than Floyd. And you're telling me that the reverse isn't true? Floyd, as a champion, was knocked down by someone making his pro debut! I think you're looking at things rather one-sidedly in Floyd's favor.

And when was the last time Floyd ever stopped a world class opponent over 210lbs?

Haye fans believe he is the second coming of Christ:-(

But about this fight i think it is a real good match up.

At first my enitial prediction would be Haye via early ko but, as has been noted Haye has been down by a blown up super middleweight in Lock and seriously hurt. Thompson had him down and so too Mormeck, and none of these fighters hits with the spped or power of Patterson.

    Floyd by mid rounds stoppage.

p.s. Dont overlook Floyds defence either.

I see you didn't answer my question. Floyd performed pretty bad against bigger opponents. Chuvalo, who is pretty limited, gave him a very close fight.

Do i consider Mormeck better than Floyd? No, but how is that relevant? How about you take styles into account here, like Haye is a huge puncher and a big guy, while Floyd is a small fighter performing mediocre against bigger guys with a glass chin to boot.

Do you mind if I watch a bit more of Haye before a comit myself?

I will say that Mormeck would have been a top heavyweight in Pattersons day and Macranelli might just have been as well.

Haye is verry much a watch this space fighter. He will make waves at heavyweight we just dont know how big yet.

He gave Ali a hard fight (not a close fight, mind you), no doubt, but in the end he couldn't go more than a year without losing to someone. Boxing type of fighters are always troubled by iron chinned pressure fighters and Ali was no exception.

Haye is not as fast as Patterson, but his speed is impressive. Watch him duck a jab and counter with a hard right hand that lands flush in the 2nd round against Enzo. That's speed, skill and reflexes.

Mac, Mormeck, etc were among the best cruiserweights in the world when he beat them. World class opposition.

Now are you going to answer my question how many 210+lbs world class heavyweights Floyd ever knocked out?

Patterson will not take Haye's best punches, it's that simple. Plus, Haye is naturally a bigger man. Early KO for Haye.
