So you've seen both complete versions of the first Lowry fight and the first Lastarza fight? May I ask where?

I don't know how well Marciano's walk in style would have served him against Langford. That would have been a very interesting matchup. Dempsey called Langford the best fighter he ever saw (and of course, he saw Marciano). Sam could bang with both hands, bigtime.

Jury isn't out on Walcott, that was the very best version.

Charles had slowed a bit, but I'm not convinced he would ever be able to stay from Rocky for 15 full rounds.

You don't think the 4 years younger version that took Louis to a split dec was a better version. Ditto the Charles that was a reigning heavyweight champ.

Charles did stay away from Rocky for 15 full rounds ,in the second fight he was a diminished version .

    Regarding Jersey, no.

Regarding Charles I said he had slowed. He lasted the difference, thats not quite staying away.

you are a respected poster here in my eyes and i dont feel right querying anything you say...but...why do you say he stayed away from him (by the comma i am guessing you mean the first fight)...and where did you see all 15 rounds..i was under the impression only half the fight existed on video, various rounds from 1 to 15.

Possibly Holyfield. It's a great fight at a minimum.
