I’ve never seen Shaw
I’ve never seen Shaw before, is he any good?
Some say he's better than Franklin. We will see.
I saw Franklin fight live against Jerry Forrest and he was terrible from what I saw, and I had Jerry winning that fight. I hope for his sake that Shaw is way better than Franklin.
It's hard to have any faith in American HWs at this point. I don't see either of these guys going anywhere. Of the newer batch Anderson looks to be the only one who might have any real potential.
No love for Trevor Bryan wba regular champ?
Nah. He sucks man. Martin or Jennings would do a number on him.
My guess is that US casual fans really lost interest in the HW category and that leads to boxers getting underpaid. You need to be around 200 cm tall for the division... You can earn much more with that body size in NBA or NFL
I think casual fans losing interest in the HW division may be part of the reason no-one seems keen to front up a site fee for Joshua/Fury. The WBA mess, Wilder's 5 years of lame defenses, the will they or won't they saga of Fury/Joshua itself ... casual fans are tuning out. It's not like the 70s and 80s where the big heavyweight fights resonated with everyone everywhere.
Erik Pieifer will face Nick Webb on the Whyte vs Povetkin card.
Interesting addition to the card. Will the winner face Fabio Wardley or something?
Where is @houmzz? Is he going to change his title in accordance with the creation of bridgerweight to make it the HW/BrW/CW thread?
Oscar Rivas moves to 27-1 after Sylvera Louis' corner pulled him out after the 3rd round.
Upcoming heavyweight fights predictions from James Ali Bashir:
Can we change name of thread to: cruiserweight, bridgerweight, and heavyweight thread?
