Another question I have is, if they can't, why not fight more often? If these low to mid-level scrubs are all you can get, than go the Foreman route and fight once every couple of months. Be visible to the fans and THEY will create the demand that leads to big fights.

I think the bottom line is that Hrgovic is just not as good as we were sold. Good luck to him. I have nothing against him, but even if he wins a belt, he is already knocking on the door of too old to have an "era."

I think he WAS as good as we were sold, but by now he's probably declined and has lost his momentum and due to lack of meaningful activity and soft opposition.

He’s 29. Claiming that he’s declined sounds a little lame when the 2 previous long reigning HW champions did their best work into their 30s. If he can’t get a contender, he should look for other aging prospects who’re also looking to break through, like Makhmudov, Frank Sanchez, Kossobutsky, Dycko. (Though noone knows what the hell Dychko is looking to do with his career)

It was a draw. Maybe we get a rematch?

No. A boxer of ANY age will go downhill from a long period of inactivity or from weak opposition. One has to stay sharp to compete with the top boxers.

Frank Sanchez has been keeping busy against another highly-regarded up-and-comer

, he's not desperate for a fight. He's also on the Jan 1 PPV.

    Sauerland looking quite bad here.
Cant understand why they have not petitioned to have Hrgovic vs Martin ordered for the mandatory position.

Why kabayel wont fight him? Hes got nothing better to do and it's a great opportunity.

The Bakole fight should have been made by now.
McKEAN is a possibility as well.

Hrgovic career passing him by. He needs to win this fight and immediately get back in the ring and try and get a British or American fighter in the ring with him. He is being frozen out of a career for whatever reason.

Hrgovic is 29 he still has some time, but I agree he should be going out there every 6ish weeks against lesser opposition until he secures a more high profile fight

Zhan really needs to get a bigger fight soon, he isn't getting any younger.
Larduet really needs to loose some weight, he came in at 120kgs/264 pounds. Way to heavy for a guy who started out as a LHW in the amateur ranks before moving up to HW and later to SHW.
Aliev looks like a lesser version of Jalolov. Similar skillset and style, but without the speed and power that make Jalolov who he is.

This seems to be a recurring theme with a lot of heavyweights aging themselves out. Turning pro too late? Circling the waters waiting for a lottery payday?
