Yeah I'm like you, nowhere near in the hype train like others are. Could be in some exciting scraps but yeah, his defence is a worry imo.
IMO he has regressed a bit over the last 3 years. He has become more aggressive, but also more sloppy and easier to hit. He can get away with hit against this kind of opposition, but I feel like he's developing bad habits and he looked better when his weight was in the mid 230ies. Look at his th pro fight when he stopped Amir Mansour in 3 rounds when the later was still able to give guys like Washington and Breazeale all they could handle. His footwork against a southpaw and how he puts his punches together, it looks more polished than what we've been seeing from him in his recent fights. This content is protected
The punches that land don't seem to bother him. His last opponent was better than given credit and he rolled him. He is there to take you out, not out box you which he has that ability to do so. Being aggressive means you get hit, and he can take it. Let's see if Fury or Usyk can take what he offers. Hrgovic has the type of style that makes you fight. There is no other option.
I hope they make this sooner rather than later, but something tells me it will involve litigation and at least a year going by.
Hrgovic did not look all that great. Was sloppy and easy to hit. Not sure how he would do against better competition.
