it wasnt all bad for kownacki. First rounds were actually really good but he couldnt keep it up and fell into old ways blocking shots with his face and stopped moving his head. Maybe wilder will call for a fight now
Kownacki is defintely a brawler. Those fighter typically are at their best in first 3 or 4 rounds. Most Adam's pre-2018 opposition didn't last that long against him - which tended to obscure that. After the fight, he left his future up in the air (when asked he replied with the tired line "I'll have to discuss it with my family"). Obviously, he's reached his ceiling and he's a "confirmed gatekeeper" now. The North American heavyweight scnee could definitely use more fighters of that level, but Kownacki's style puts a lot of mileage on the clock and his long-term health prospects would not be good (probably already aren't good) were he to continue fighting.
For the moment, this fight - along with the rest of the Jake Paul vs Hasim Rahman Jr undercard - is still scheduled to take place on August 6th despite the "main event" having been cancelled due to Rahman Jr's inability to meet the required weight.
"Sugar" Robert Helenius is a vicious man: he has ended careers of Brewster, Levin, Peter and now Kownacki.
And then get wins over Mercer,McCall,Moorer and whatever old dudes he can get in the rinn and go by “Legend Killer” like Randy Orton.
Vitor Vykhryst will face Adnan Redzovic in an 8 rounder on August 13. Ihor Shevadzutskyi will face Kevin Johnson in an 8 rounder on the same card.
The Kingpin will return to prominence! Vykhrst should fight Vianello....battle of the big Euro-heavy hypsjobs whose names start with "V" and almost lost to bums. It sells itself.
