I think Torres Jr will be positioned into some sort of vacant belt fight if the stars align, he's got the backing. But he's also a brutal KO waiting to happen so he might not get there

He's happy Jalolov is looking to extend his period of pro career disinterest, no doubt.

he is very hittable, isn't he? He has power and handspeed, and i do think he can fight for a vacant belt. But he needs to be matched carefully.

Jalolov is not disinterested, he's being frozen out. This happens to a lot of European and Asian boxers, Hrgovic is another example. Now even Parker is having trouble getting a fight.

Had Hrgovic and Jalolov been born in the USA or the UK, they would have many more opportunities.

They are not inactive by choice.

Yes, I don't know what is the case here, or whether it's a combination of the two.

With any luck the Saudi involvement with open things up a bit as they've been a bit more inclined to play things differently ... such as Bakole/Anderson.

Zhan Kossobutskiy is someone who needs a way back in.

Would Hrgovic not have gotten the AJ fight if he hadn't lost to Dubois?

They kind of are. Even if you can't get good opposition, you fight against weak opposition as often as you can to stay sharp until an opportunity present itself.

There are gatekeepers like Jonathan Rice, Jerry Forrest, Nathan Gorman who'll fight anyone for semi-decent money and will give most contenders/prospects a good work. Sitting back and waiting for a fight against a contender to present itself will never work.

Whyte-Jalolov on a Saudi card would be interesting.
