What do we make of Itauma now? I was hoping McKean could push him late but Moses is so powerful. It wasn't even close. I still don't think Itauma is ready for the elite guys out there.
I don't know why they are in a rush to make him heavyweight champion and beat Tysons record, it's a gimmick. I'm pretty sure he could beat the almost corpse like pulev and get the wba regular title, so I'm assuming they will do that.
I'm figuring they do that, or try to strip Usyk after Parker is stripped of the Interim title and hastily make a fight for the vacant title. I said this in an earlier post, but it wouldn't be NEAR the achievement it was when Tyson did it, but a little thing like genuine achievement never gets in the way of good branding
This content is protected Makabu's fight from last week. The fight starts at the 11 minute mark and it's just three rounds. Surprisingly the fight was at light heavyweight. Technically this shouldn't be on this thread, but what the heck. Merry Christmas, everyone!
Excellent. I am glad the big Aussie is fighting frequently. If he fights 4-5 times in the next 18 months or so, he can finally step up vs top 10 guys. I look forward to it.
I thought Makabua was going to get KTFO for a second watching that. Getting flurried against the ropes has been a problem for him.
11-0 10 KO 47 years old Italian heavyweight fighting out of Thailand Alessio Bisutti has a fight next month against 22-5 19 KOs Nattapalon Plangpimai. What's interesting (besides this odd heavyweight) is that his last fight he won the WBO oriental heavyweight title and his next fight is for the IBF asian heavyweight title. Is he playing the game to get a top ten rating and eventual cash out?
Seems like there is an ongoing discussion that Murat Gassiev faces Kubrat Pulev in 2025. It was confirmed by a representative of Gassiev that there are such talks going on.
He is #9 in the WBA. That is a make or break. If he can't beat Pulev, maybe time to hang them up, or at least try to get back to cruiser or bridger.
