Why would anyone wait for Okolie?

My vote would be to fight Itauma. Okolie's a garbage fight, I'd rather see him go get destroyed by Kabayel and permanently relegated to low spots in undercards. Always good to have those early bathroom break fights, and nothing would be a clearer indicator than seeing the name Okolie.

    ...Too harsh? :sisi1

Some Bridgerweight/Super Cruiserweight/224 news, for all four of the people who remember that division exists. Kevin Lerena is apparently going to be making his inaugural defense of the WBC title against Serhiy Radchenko on May 1st.

Ironically, Radchenko is not even the best Ukranian Bridgerweight.

It's gonna be Nelson Hysa for Moses Itauma, apparently.

I remember, almost four years ago now, when I first got into boxing and perused the rankings on BoxRec, I used to look at all these undefeated records and think about all the cool unbeaten vs. unbeaten matches that could be made.

Now whenever I see most of those guys, all I think is "Oh, his promoter finally ran his course with him huh. Good for them for holding onto the 0 til they found a decent bidder."

 It actually is like that.
Usually these guys are good enough to make a buck off of too, so it´s a worthy long term investment.

I have literally been part of fight cards in boxing gyms where record padding happens, and it clearly happens for this very purpose.

Nelson Hysa only started pro boxing in 2022 at the age of 38! I hope he's getting well-paid for this.

It’s a step up but not a massive one, hopefully the opponents keep getting better each fight from this point.

Ihor Shevadzutskyi (BoxRec #143) isn't as bad as some of Jalolov's other opponents, but he lost to old Kubrat Pulev last year, and was KOed by Martin Bakole in 2023.

Jalolov should at the very least be fighting someone in the BoxRec top 50, preferably the top 25. He's not getting any younger.

he’s only 30 witch is still young for a heavyweight, but yeah he needs to step up hopefully each opponent is a step up at this point also let’s be honest it don’t take long to climb up the heavyweight ranks.
