When would you be hoping to turn professional?

After the Olympics of course.

 

News about Filip Hrgovic,he is turning pro after Rio games.He is part time boxer/soldier at this point in time.Here is his recent interview:

How did you switch to boxing?

- At age 14, I entered the hall, after a couple of months now won younger cadet Croatian Championship, fell in love with boxing and stayed.

Who is 'pushed', ie. Was the biggest support from the start of his career?

- Coach Leo was decisive. He is the one who is developing self-confidence and instilled in me the belief that I can be world champion. With my qualities and talent, that type of stimulus, ie. The way I brought up from the start was crucial. I think that I would not get in any other club. United have been support and my parents - for example, just my mom led the first training in the club. Although, at the beginning they did not think that I will not stay long in this and my dad was not too pleased when I stayed. But as soon as they saw I was serious, and when they got the results, the maximum they stood by me and now really live for it.

Teaching Methods

What if something in training or match not do well, praise you and then you coach?

- Leo told me about an approach to pedagogy which emphasizes only what is good. She does not appear on what is wrong, but it shows you how to do it properly so that bad, that is. What is your biggest goal?

- Gold at the Olympics. This is for life and always will be how you remember. Who else is Olympic champion!

Outside of the ring?

- My family is the most important in the world and there is no greater happiness than when you all get together (Philip normally has two brothers and two sisters, op. A.). My goal is to make sure as soon as them and a better life.
