Tbf to Ike if he keeps up this activity he's doing more than certain so-called HW contenders who are clogging up the rankings with nothing to show for it.

 

Their inactivity and avoidance makes the division duller than it could be. There needs to be more heavyweight matchups, to clear out the deadwood from the rankings.

 

Maybe Wardley comes close. Ituama should be it if he wants to keep up the Tyson comparisons.

Arzola has been on a good row since the Jalolov defeat. I reckon he could be a force in the super heavyweight division.

 

Surprised to see Zurdo such a heavy favourite at 1/20, and Safar a huge underdog at 10/1.

Yeah to be fair, I almost forgot - when one has a huge fight scheduled for a later date (Zurdo V Benavidez) - the judges are always paid off to ensure that still happens.

 

This is incorrect. There's more nations in this IBA world championship than there was in the World Boxing one in Liverpool. There's over 100 participating nations you can read who's there on the IBA website - entries by nation section.

If any region has the most countries taking part it's Africa, as there's 32 African Nations that took a team there. But they've been getting knocked out left, right and centre in the early stages, but maybe it's not politically correct to talk about how poor they are at boxing

The Ex Soviet nations will be most of the finalists that's for sure, they are the best, but this is certainly not a 'mini-BRICS championship', that is massively wrong.

 

Arzola got robbed in the QF's, he clearly won rounds 1 and 3. But the judges gave it the the Makhanov the uzbek. Bad corruption..

Not a robbery - the rotten British commentator was biased in favor of Arzola, no surprise because he's always hated boxers from the former Soviet republics. Makhanov won the fight.

On Sunday December 21st, Lawrence Okolie will face Ebenezer Tetteh, who was knocked out in round one by Clarke in his last fight. Tetteh is ranked BoxRec #238 at heavyweight.

Stingy old Fish Eyes probably got Tetteh for Okolie because he will fight for low pay.

Yoka's opponent Patrick Korte is ranked #402 at heavyweight and is age 41.
