Parker has put on some muscle?http://boxingnews.com.ua/ru/foto/12097-dzhozef-parker-serezno-podkachalsja-foto
Anthony Joshua: "When I sparred with Fury, we had a little war in the ring. No equipment was not - he was holding me with one hand while at the same time trying to hit, hitting the low blows of all sorts. Then I was very inexperienced amateur involved in boxing for about a year. I did not even know who Tyson Fury, because I was not a big fan of boxing. I just heard the big guy from Manchester promises to give his Rolex to him who knocks. My coach told me: "Do you want to Rolex? Then let's go! "And I went to fight. If we Fury again once met in the ring, I want his Rolex was once again on the line, because I have just rubber G-Shock, but I need a Rolex ".
I like how everybody is talking in how bad shape Kuzmin is.But where he was in bad shape? In amateurs maybe, where he won the European championship and won silver medal year after? In his first fight no way he was gassing out.In his third fight, which was televised,he did 8 rounds without gassing out.People watch one amateur fight and say hey he isn't in shape.
He needed a little more mass to compete with Joshua as best prospect. I think he is a better fighter. He'll need to adjust to it stamina wise but this could be a good move.
I like different things about both... Joshua seems to have the better jab, better footwork, and better defense... But Parker has blistering handspeed, throws excellent combinations etc. Parker gets hit a bit too easy for my liking, but he's still got plenty of time to work on that. No doubt that both will be major players in the post-Klitschko era.
Busy Saturday for prospects, although none of these bouts are really competitive. Matteo Modugno v.s Hrvoje Kisicek of course there's Parker v.s Tupou and on the undercard there's 12-0 Izuagbe Ugonoh v.s William Quarrie David "Brown Butterbean" Letele v.s Kaleni Taetuli also on the bill Dillian Whyte v.s Costa jr. on the Luke Campbell/Coyle undercard Trey Lippe v.s Corey Phelps 10-0 Adam Kownacki v.s Maurenzo Smith on the Garcia/Malignaggi undercard.
Yeah agreed on all fronts, I'm pleased to hear protecting himself has been a huge priority in this latest camp - especially when facing someone like Bowie Tupou who while he's not set the world on fire has actually been clearly VERY hungry to make a mark and is training and fighting to win in this one. He gave Bryant Jennings more problems than I think he's given credit for, and he's working harder for this one than he did this - not least that Lucas Browne has been sparring with him and is tipping Tupou to win. I hope for this to be a good demonstration of Parker's progress, and result in some further upward movement in some of the alphabets. Will be interesting to see how he moves and runs with the extra muscle - though he was already showing signs of that development for his fight against Saglam and he was just outright dangerous looking in that fight.
