So you admit he fought those fights with one hand? Yet he was still shot? Okay.

His hand is made of glass. If he was injured, he wouldn't be able to box anymore. He struggled in both fights. Fury, Joshua, Pulev, etc. would win easily with one hand against a shot Tank and a shot Sprott.

Destruction? He fought a fat, shot Peter who had nothing left and after 8 rounds two scorecards were very close. He lost multiple rounds to a shot Michael Sprott, who could have won this fight with a little bit more confidence and agression. Teper finished the same Sprott in about 30 seconds.

And the Peter fight is irrelevant now, almost 5 years ago.

We don't know that, it's just a baseless assumption.

Fury beat Hammer with one hand, who is much better than Sprott and Williams. Pulev schooled Helenius in sparring.

That version of Peter is still far better than anyone Teper has faced, you're missing my point altogether. There's nothing to suggest that Teper packs more power than Helenius, using the Sprott fight as comparison/measuring stick is foolish. We both know that he wasn't capable of punching like he normally is. By that logic everyone who has stopped Sprott hits harder than Helenius as well.

Pulev would school Teper even worse.

Helenius is being undersold here he holds wins over Peter, Brewster, Sherman, Liakovich, Sprott and a controversial win over Chisora where he went distance with an injury. He also has some tough journeyman on his ledger that he fought early on. If you want to say he is shot that's your prerogative however his resume is as good as any contender out there outside of Povetkin.
If he has anything left his fight with Teper should be a good one and a good fight for the division's overall well being. Quality undefeated guys mixing it up is never bad.

I am going to pipe in and say that a heatlhy Helenius and Teper are both fine additions to the division.

I think Rob needs a few more tune ups before he should take this fight. The Turk is bit, he can punch, and seems pretty fearless.

The offers to Jennings, Stiverne, and Fedosov were less than Fedosov made in the boxino tournament on ESPN.

GBP is making serious LOWBALL offers to guys who are in no need of Ortiz to maintain contention.

What sux with the whole Ortiz situation is that he'd be a GREAT scalp on a top 30s resume, but with GBP offering so little $$$$, it would hardly be worht the risk for the above named contenders.

Now, and you can almost take this to the bank, Ortiz will fight someone on the level of Gavern, Ding, Zumbano-Love etc.

The amount of guaranteed purse just aint worth it for the guys who've already paid their due and done it without the use of anabolic steroids X2.

Ortiz, with his ROID abuse is a big mountain to climb, and without certain guarantees IRT testing and financials, he's NOT gonna get a top 50, not even for a huge PPV undercard. :patsch

If Golden Boy gonna get a serious opponent to Luis Ortiz the must pay. Maybe they should have Luis Ortiz vs a top 10 as a main event. These undercard fights are not big paydays.

I guess that what Golden Boy are thinking when they have him on the PPV. Building him up in front of a big audience.
