February 25 at a gala in Alabama will face you with Dominic Breazeale. American last year fought for the belt world champion. Is this the most serious challenge of his career?
Izu Ugonoh: Definitely yes, but also a huge opportunity. This fight will allow me to really exist in boxing. This is an opportunity, and when it appears on the horizon, you have to take it. If it will use what I believe, it will be very cool!

Artur pin admitted that cheer you in the confrontation with Dominic Breazeale, which was supposed to box, but he said that this fight could be for you too early.
I am aware that in this struggle I have to ascend to its heights and it's going to do. It is for me to start, which is to move me in a completely different place in boxing. This duel I could show you how good I am. When Arthur pin had come to blows with Breazeale, I thought it would be cool statement. I suspected that would be the smarter fighter in the ring, ograłby technically an American and it 'rozpykał ". I know how to win, but I have to be the best available.

What conclusions do you draw the championship fight Breazeale'a Anthony Joshua (in June 2016 years Breazeale lost by technical knockout in the seventh round)? This clash confirmed that an American has a hard head.
In this battle several times Joshua broke the pace and then it was dangerous for Breazeale'a. The main conclusion drawn from this duel is as follows - Joshua was faster in every respect. Breazeale afraid to inflict blows because of the attacking. If Joshua wanted to, it would end this fight before. A second thing that did not ask blows to the body. If attacked on the body, this fight could have ended earlier. At no time this fight his "cardio" was not raised. Przeboksował "on luzaczku" and beat guy for six rounds, and then it knocked out.

Trainer Kevin Barry reiterated that he sees in you the potential for the world champion, a great player heavyweight. Faith in the camp is missing.
Take the time already spent my coach and some work we have put into my career. It can not be that all this effort benefits only at the gym. It must be the moment to show skills on the big ring. I believe that this is the moment and this is the moment to present it. I do not hide - I'm excited about what's going to happen on February 25th.

Having some second thoughts about Ugonoh here, this is going to be a really tough fight for him.

In the case of WBA Super Championship, Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko will fight Great Britain’s Anthony Joshua on April 29 at London’s Wembley Stadium. The winner of this contest will in turn fight Cuban Luis Ortiz, current WBA Intercontinental Champion.

Klitschko was supposed to fight a rematch Tyson Fury, but he vacated the throne due to personal problems related to having failed a pre-fight drug test. Because of this, the Committee decided that Klitschko, former holder of the WBA black and gold heavyweight belt, will face reigning IBF champion Joshua, which should make for a no less satisfying Super Championship confrontation.

As for Luis Ortiz, who relinquished his interim title, he remains the mandatory challenger for whoever is ultimately crowned WBA World Super heavyweight champion, be it Joshua or Klitschko.

Meanwhile, regarding the fight between American Shannon Briggs and Puerto Rican Fres Oquendo, the Championships Committee has given the fighters and their representatives given 30 days from January 2, 2017 to reach an agreement. If they fail to come to terms, the fight will be publicly offered as a purse bid.

The winner between Briggs vs. Oquendo will face Russian Alexander Ustinov, who last year was scheduled to fight Ortiz, a fight that failed to materialize because the Cuban vacated his interim title.

Regarding the case of the Australian Lucas Browne, he was eliminated from the WBA rankings after testing positive in a test conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA), in accordance with the rules of the World Boxing Council (WBC).

Thus is determined the current status of the tournament to establish a single heavyweight champion in the WBA.

Written by Juan Arias from WBN.

Cameroonian heavyweight Carlos Takam (34-3-1, 26 KOs) claimed vacant IBF Intercontinental title by scoring a brutal fourth round knockout over Marcin Rekowski (17-5, 14 KOs) from Poland.

Takam won first two rounds of the fight, in the third round he knocked Rekowski down and knocked him out cold in the very next round.

two-time Olympic bronze medalist Ivan Dychko, who signed his first professional contract with MJE Entertainment, said he is motivated by the possibility of facing current IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, who beat him in the semifinals of Olympic Games in London.

“Anthony Joshua motivates me, especially the thought of a rematch someday,” Dychko said of his old rival. “I believe I beat him in London, and if he defeats Klitschko and keeps gathering the heavyweight titles, it would be the ultimate fight in (the) future.”

Dychko will be trained by Derik Santos and is co-managed by Ziya Aliyev and Elvis Crespo. All three, along with Altamura, are looking at kicking off his professional career in late May in Beijing.

“I’ve been thinking about turning professional for a long time, and I am happy to sign with Mike because we have common goals for the future,” Dychko added. “I believe they can be achieved together. It’s my dream to be the unified world heavyweight champion and to hold onto the titles for a long time.”

Altamutra is equally excited about Dychko’s prospects for the future and for his professional debut in China.

“He’s a fighter I’ve followed for a long time because, despite his enormous size, he’s a sharp-moving, intelligent boxer who’s light on his feet. I believe as a professional he’ll demonstrate these talents along with his sheer physicality and punching power.”

It’s arguably one of the biggest signings to come out of the Rio Olympics and one that came as a shock to many boxing insiders. Although Kazakhstan produces some of the best amateur fighters in the world, it has proven to be extremely difficult to motivate them to turn professional.

“I came back to Astana, Kazakhstan, after preliminary discussions, and expressions of interest in him turning professional,” Altamura said of his latest signing. “And upon meeting, we just connected. He fits perfectly into my promotional plans in mainland China because not only if he a larger than life figure, he’s talented, friendly, and carries himself like a true gentleman. It’s exciting as a promoter to be in the heavyweight business! I’ll look to fight him regularly and keep him developing and transitioning into the professional ranks. I feel within a couple years he’ll progress to the regional title, and thereafter we’ll commence our path to a heavyweight championship. I know he is determined to avenge his controversial loss to Joshua at the 2012 Olympics. I think that’s a motivating factor. It’ll provide additional motivation for him to sacrifice and stay disciplined with his fight preparations.”

Takam always seems to give a good performance. Haven't seen a mediocre outing from him in quite some time. Rare at HW.

Two-time Olympic Bronze medalist from Kazakhstan would probably be it. And just two weeks after signing 2016 welterweight gold medalist Daniyar Yeleussinov, one of the hottest prospects to come out of Kazakhstan, Australia’s MJA Entertainment pulled off a second Kazakh coup. 26-year old two-time Olympic bronze medalist Ivan Dychko became the latest addition to the MJA stable, giving MJA head Mike Altamura what he believes may soon emerge as the best two punch combination in boxing. Dychko, the 6’9 heavyweight, amassed an impressive 181-18 record as an amateur and may be best remembered for his close 13-11 loss to Anthony Joshua in the 2012 London Olympics.

He may be the up and coming star of boxing but former two-time heavyweight champion George Foreman has warned Anthony Joshua not to underestimate veteran Wladimir Klitschko.

IBF title holder Joshua, 27, and former linear champion Klitschko, 40, will step into the ring for their highly-anticipated showdown at Wembley on April 29.

Olympic gold medallist and Englishman Joshua (18-0) will put his title on the line against Ukraine's Klitschko (64-4), whose reign as champion came to a surprise end against Tyron Fury in November 2015.

With Joshua in the prime of his career and Klitschko nearing the end of his, and there is the belief that the former's youth gives him the advantage, however, Hall of Famer Foreman insists the latter should not be counted out.

"He [Joshua] is a good athlete. He can run and jump. He does a lot of things good. He makes for a good boxer," Foreman told Omnisport.

"I think he can be a good fighter and a champion but beware of veterans.

"Klitschko is a veteran. When you start counting people out that is when they reach deep down inside and get things you didn't know they had. I never count veterans out and they are there and can surprise you.

"But Joshua, he hasn't lost and probably doesn't know what he is fighting for yet. The best is yet to come from him but he has to be tried and tested like the rest of us."

Already more than 80,000 tickets have been sold for the blockbuster event in England, with Klitschko to be 41 at the time of the fight.

It remains to see how long Klitschko will prolong his future for but Foreman would not be surprised if the 1996 gold medallist continued boxing.

"Boxing is so addictive. You win and you say it's the last one and the next you know, you're in the ring again," the 68-year-old said.

"You probably don't get out until you're knocked out of the ring like Bernard Hopkins."

I see no reason why Takam/Wawrzyk would be any different.
