At 33 years old and with four stoppage losses to his name, some have been quick to criticize Price via social media and beyond following a high-profile defeat to Christian Hammer on Saturday night.

Whether he decides enough is enough for a possible career as a pundit or to give it one last go in the ring, those accolades can never be taken away from Price and will eventually outweigh the low points. In years to come, Price won’t be remembered as ‘the heavyweight who got knocked out a few times’, he’ll be known as the former Lonsdale Belt holder and Beijing 2008 semi-finalist who consistently dreamt big to the vast majority of UK fans.

Price has stamina problems, we all know that, but at 6ft 8ins tall and with a rigid frame, it would be tough for anyone to have coped with the scenario of coming in heavy for brutality or lighter to be fresh in the later rounds - with such bulk to carry.

Hammer knew after two rounds he just had to get through the worst blows Price could muster until around the fourth or fifth, but was almost knocked out for his trouble and knew surviving being dropped meant victory was his to take.

There’s no doubt Price will need some time to reflect on what transpired in London, but the general consensus was the weight he carried was all wrong and dropping a couple of stone could be key to enjoying some further successes moving forward.

Having won the British belt outright in 2012, a European title would be a sound target for ‘Pricey’ should he decide to regroup and work on the obvious issues that mean his tank empties so quickly.

As a physical specimen, Price has nothing to worry about and those question marks over his chin are largely due to the defenceless state running out of gas leaves him in once the fuel has burned up and his hands drop.

Hopefully whatever happens, people take the words of ex-footballer turned boxer Curtis Woodhouse on board this week and lay-off Price as the obviously talented fighter deals with his body letting him down yet again against a fighter he soundly would have beaten with the appropriate endurance needed.

The former contender for the title of world champion heavyweight Artur Szpilka (20-2, 15 KOs) revealed in an interview with Polsatsport.pl that quickly paid the visa issues and will fly back to the United States on Monday.

The popular "Pin" moved permanently to the United States nearly two years ago. Boxer from Wieliczka after returning from Ocean will continue to prepare for the next professional fight.

The ring pin may return in April or May during a ceremony organized in New York. It will be for his first appearance since last year's defeat with Deontay Wilder.

Robert Alfonso (10-0, 3 KOs), Stephan Shaw (8-0, 5 KOs) and Gregory Corbin (14-0, 8 KO) were among the sparring champion WBC heavyweight Deontay Wilder (37-0, 36 KO), who is preparing to fight with Gerald Washington (18-0-1, 12 KOs).

    - When I trained to fight with Andrew Wawrzykiem, it took into account a more agile sparring partners. Eventually, however, I boxed with Washington, and that means that I have to prepare for boxers with a high and tight defense.
Duel "Bronze Bomber" with Washington will be held on February 25 at the gala Premier Boxing Champions in Alabama. For Wilder will be the fifth defense won two years ago belt World Boxing Council.

Pretty good match up again! I think the american part of the heavyweights are ruining the division right now. All the europeans seem opened for good fights but crossing the ocean seems the big difference for now.

Former contender of Wladimir Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin Polish heavyweight Mariusz Wach may soon change boxing to mixed martial arts.

It is reported by the Polish boxing insider Mateusz Borek.

According to Borek, Bax received a proposal from the Polish federation MMA KSW on four matches, the first of which could be leading the fight against the former strongman, multiple world champion in the sports Mariusz Pudzianowski, who serves in mixed martial arts since 2009.

If Mariusz Wach will take the proposal to move to MMA, his fight with Mariusz Pudzianowski can be held on 27 May.

WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder is backing Wladimir Klitschko to defeat Anthony Joshua when the pair meet in their heavyweight showdown at Wembley Stadium on April 29, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Joshua will make the third defence of his title, which Klitschko previously held for just under 10 years, while the vacant WBA 'super' title will also be up for grabs.

Wilder, who will put his WBC title against Gerald Washington on Sky Sportslater this month, admits he is rooting for IBF champion Joshua, but believes he may fall short against 68-fight veteran Klitschko.

"My heart is for Joshua but my mind is always for Klitschko," Wilder told On The Ropes Boxing Radio. "We can't count Klitschko out. I don't think Joshua has had the well enough training or experience for Klitschko in my opinion.

"I'm not saying that Joshua would lose off that, but when you're fighting a certain type of calibre of fighters and then you move all the way up to the guy who at one point in time was the ruler of the division and held the belts for a long time, it's a big leap.

"We will see, maybe they got an idea or a plan that they are going to stand by, we'll see what happens. It's great that those guys are fighting, just to get the ball rolling."

Joshua and Wilder, who boasts a professional record of 37 wins, with all but one by knockout, both have previously shared sparring sessions with the 40-year-old Ukrainian.

"When I was in there with him, I just learned that he's very competitive," added Wilder. "If you come hard, he tries to come back harder. It's all about determining the will and who wants it the most when you're in the ring facing Klitschko. He still has loopholes in his game but we all do.

"When a fighter discovers certain weaknesses in a fight, he himself has to execute those loopholes, but if you can't do it, it's something that's just there. We all have different little holes in our game, we're going to see if Joshua can execute the things that he needs to do in Klitschko's territory. It's going to be a great fight and I'm looking forward to watching it.

"I may even be there, I'm not sure yet."

Didn't Wilder have a training camp in Manchester ahead of the Povetkin fight?
