I think Joshua can be knocked or beaten by points but only by the right guy.I give chance to Povetkin, Ortiz, Kuzmin(Had close fight with Joshua in amateurs,9/7), Hrgovic, Simon Kean, Tyson Fury and to Murat Gasiev(If he moves up).
Interesting choices. Gassiev is interesting. I don't know enough yet on Hrgovic(I know he was top amateur) and Kean. Fury I don't think will be the same and I wasn't overly high on him to start with. Still no word on Povetkin opponent? Bj Flores said he's willing to take the fight. I hope it's someone better than that
Fury needs at least 4 fights to get ready. No, no word yet.Flores fight is an option but they said, they want ranked guy.
Hearn thinks Joshua has 8 to 10 years left in boxing, funny, he will be in too many wars to last so long and he is injury prone, he already cracked his back some time ago.Fight with Wladimir was the first war type of fight, Ortiz has the potential to be another, Povetkin fight will be a war if happens.
Do you rate Simon Kean? He didn't have that great an amateur career, did he? Good shout on Gassiev btw, history shows that the top cruisers can be very competitive with the top HWs and Gassiev has the right tools: a great chin and very good power too. He's still young and will fill out to a decent size HW too, he's 6' 4" or something if I remember correctly.
Yes, I rate him.Well, he had 54-15 amateur record.Kean won Canadian nationals in 2011,2014.He finished in a 3 place in 2012 Americas qualification for the Olympics. In 2015 he was a semifinalist at Panamerican championships. In 2012 he beat Tony Yoka in Olympics with one arm via countback.
Michael Wallisch finally returns this time for Sauerland promotions May 13th. Vs a 4-8 opponent. Hopefully he finally gets some traction with new promoters and renewed dedication.
