So according to the Ortiz camp, Joshua has until sept 3rd to agree to defend against Ortiz or be stripped. Since Pulev is reluctante to take it, this is the fight that makes sense the most.

Povetkin on steroid allegations pointed towards him:

"In my opinion, of course, politics is to blame for scandals. How many I remember myself, I have rarely been accused of doping before. And then suddenly - bang, bang, bang ... That one is disqualified, then the second. They banned mildronate, or meldonium. And this is feeding for the heart, which Russian athletes constantly took. He does not give any extra strength or stamina. In the West, this medicine is not fully understood but decided to ban. Now, by the way, they are thinking about how to resolve again. Americans are well aware that in Russia many children train with mildronate, so they banned it. Have not even found out: how much does it hold in the human body? And after what period of time can it be detected? As a result - scandals from scratch. Just like with me it was not clear why!

Kazakhstan heavyweight Kamshibek Kunkabaev defeated Uzbek Bakhodir Dzhalolov in the quarterfinals of the World Championship, thereby taking revenge from his abuser for the defeat in the finals of the Asian Championships in Tashkent.

In an interview with the correspondent of the Republican Internet portal Sports.kz, Kunkabaev spoke about the past duel.

    - Today you defeated one of your main competitors in the tournament.
    - I agree. After the defeat in the finals of the Asian Championship, I was looking forward to a new opportunity to take revenge from the Uzbek boxer. You saw it all yourself - the fight turned out to be difficult. In the first round, I did not have enough concentration and concentration, but the coaches on time gave me the right advice that helped win the next two rounds. I'm glad that I won, but I can not stop at this. I will try to do my best to make our fans happy again.

    - What was the tactic for the duel?
    - We are not the first time we meet with this rival, so we had our tactical achievements. In the first round, not everything worked out, in the second it was able to gather and bring the fight to victory.

    - What tips did the mentors give after the first round?
    - Do not wait, do not lose time, work as the first number and throw out more punches. Do not expect that one hit will be accurate, but to beat as often as possible and constantly increase the pressure on the opponent.

    - Compared with the fight at the Asian Championships, did the opponent become stronger physically?
    - The question is probably not in physics. The key factor was correct tactics.

    - The main motivation was to take revenge for defeat at the Asian Championships?
    - Of course. I wanted to prove in the neutral territory which of us is the strongest right now.

    - Right before your entry into the ring, Yerik Alzhanov lost his fight to the Uzbek boxer. Psychologically, you somehow influenced it?
    - No. I want to pay tribute to Alzhanov. He excellently boxed and was very close to victory. This also became an additional motivation for me to win.

    - After this victory, you became one step closer to the cherished goal.
    - Ahead of the heavy semifinal match. We will prepare. We will do everything to win and reach the final. Thanks to everyone who is sick and worried about us in Kazakhstan. We will try to justify the hopes of our fans.

"There is a preliminary understanding of my fight - this is likely to be in November in Moscow. There will be a show, an evening of boxing, where Povetkin will participate. Perhaps I will also participate there, but this is not yet certain, "Troyanovsky said.

That was a BS rumor started by Briggs, this fight will never happen.
He's back in November and it will be someone from WBA or WBO top 15 since he's ranked by both, maybe Christian Hammer?
