Up and coming cruiserweight Michal Cieslak will stay at cruiserweight. He is on heavy diet. His last fight was at heavyweight.

Constantin Bejenaru against Fabio Turchi is possible for later this year to determine mandatory challenger for WBC cruiserweight title. If Turchi keeps winning he will get the fight with Bejenaru. Turchi will fight Dario German Balmaceda next.

 

Couple of more fights confirmed for Gasiev/Dorticos undercard. Heavyweight Basir Abakarov who had a decorated kick boxer career will face Denis Bakhtov for the vacant Russian Heavyweight Title. Heavyweight Tair Kelekhsaev against TBA and Vlasov will fight Gusmyr Perdomo.

 

The next World Amateur Boxing Championships will be held in Sochi,Russia in 2019.

 

Nick Webb back on February 3. His fight will be televised by SKY. Maybe Hearn will sign him.

 

- This may be Joshua's last fight in Britain this year - the head of the Matchroom Boxing group said about the duel with Parker, assuring that he is open to confronting AJ with WBC Deontay Wilder (39-0, 38 KO).

- A fight with Wilder can happen in America. We want to face it before the end of the year. In total, we plan three battles this year - at the turn of August and September and December. We already have an organized gala in the USA. We would prefer to fight in Britain, but America is not a problem for us - said Joshua's promoter.


Asked about the mandatory defense of the WBA belt with Aleksander Povetkin (33-1, 23 KO) Hearn replied: "It will probably be managed in the summer, so we can do it in December. The Povetkin promoters declared that the duel could take place in Great Britain. We will not fly to Russia. Eventually, in 2018, Joshua will probably face Povetkin, we'll see.
