Recently saw the Usyk/Briedis fight. This went just as I expected. Close in first half of the fight with Usyk taking over in the second half of the fight. Skill wise they are the same but Usyk is better as an athlete. What future holds for both?! Usyk lacks power but has work rate, speed and excellent technique to his arsenal. I think Usyk will take 2 tune ups before facing Joshua. He will have to fight toe to toe with Joshua if he would stand any cahnce of beating Joshua. But can he beat Joshua with work rate and speed alone? I think, he can if he don't loose work rate and speed when he moves up. As for Briedis, he can be much better if he improves his stamina but I'm not convinced he will. He still is 3 or 4 best cruiserweight in my estimation but needs to improve his stamina if he doesn't want to come up short against very best. I think he will stay at cruiserweight, don't see him doing bad move in moving up to heavyweight.

Marcin Najman, the organizer of the National Boxing Gala, which will take place on 25 May at the PGE National Park, revealed the names of several boxers with whom talks are currently underway on the fight against Mariusz Wach (33-3, 18 KO). Among them there are m.in. Dmitry Kudryasow, Robert Helenius, Dereck Chisora and Bryant Jennings, which is a priority among this group.

    - We have an agreement with Dmitry Kudriaszow, who is willing to go to this heavyweight fight. We also have a preliminary agreement with Derek Chisora. Robert Helenius' camp recently came to us, with whom we also talked. However, we are focusing most on the fight against Bryant Jennings - said Najman.

For Wach, it will be a return to the ring after the November defeat with Jarrell Miller. The PGE National will also perform, among others Izuagbe Ugonoh, Ewa Piątkowska, Robert Talarek and Rafał Jackiewicz.

Kudryashov would be the most interest fight of the bunch. Want to see how well his power carries to HW and if it bothers Wach.

Glad Kudryashov is moving up, but imo Wach is a risky fight. I could see him gassing out trying to crack the giant’s titanium chin.

He should target Szpilka instead. Surely Artur wants a bounce back fight.

That's a big part of what makes it an intriguing fight. Szpilka would be great as well.

As a teenager Nenad Pagonis had his heart set on a career in basketball, until at 15 years old he started training at a kickboxing gym in order to improve his fitness levels. He turned out to be a natural and it wasn’t long before he was tearing up the amateur circuit in his native Serbia and the surrounding regions.

Now aged 26, Pagonis’ career to date has seen him win titles at European and World level under both Muay Thai and Kickboxing rules. In the past he has received personal invitations to be a training partner for the legendary Peter Aerts and in 2010 he joined the cast of Mike’s Gym in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

There he trains with big names - and big hitters - such as Badr Hari, Gokhan Saki, Melvin Manhoef, Murthel Groenhart and Sahak Parparyan. He conducts his training camps there and uses what he learns to boost his own team based in Novi Sad, the second-largest city in Serbia.

Pagonis lists “work ethic” as one of his main attributes and says that there is nobody in any gym who works harder than he does. Aside from pursuing his career as a professional kickboxer, Pagonis has also gained a qualification in Economics.
