There are only one decent/good heavyweight in China and that is Zhang Zhilei. Zhilei's inactivity can be blamed on Roc Nation's lack of shows.
Zhang was a decent amateur super heavyweight, good enough for a top ten ranking. He's a decent pro, but always had problems with quicker fighters or big punchers. It would be good for boxing if China had one top ten contender at heavyweight. Someday, China will have one. http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Zhang_Zhilei India, the other most populous nation has a boxing program, but I've never seen one good amateur or pro heavyweight or super heavyweight from that nation.
Povetkin will be 40 by time these guys get in ring with him. Shame. Well if he gets past Price, I assume he won’t risk the mandatory with a hard match next. Wouldn’t mind him getting in ring with Jennings. Good fight imo
World and European kickboxing champion, heavyweight Basyr Abakarov will return on March 24 card. Basyr Abakarov will face Oleksandr Nesterenko next. So far, he has 3 wins, all coming by the way of KO.
I would like to see Bejenaru/Briedis next or in the future. This would be a rematch. They have fought in Bigger Betters TV series. Bejenaru beat him by SD, if I remember correctly. But I thought Bejenaru won clearly, Briedis came strong early but couldn't do much for the majority of the fight.
I don't understand your logic about Kuzmin. You always write "Mansour 45, Mansour 45", ok, but Mansour only year before, at (almost) same age, win ALL ROUNDS(or 4 of 5) against Breazeale, N8 in Boxrec.Mansour even get him down in 3rd round(much faster than Joshua btw).Watch that fight, Mansour destroy Breazeale(the lost was due to an injury).Kuzmin was better than someone, who was absolutely, clearly better than N8 in Boxrec.Show at least little respect for Kuzmin.Mansour is very skillful boxer. And btw, Kuzmin already beat not only Joyce.Joshua also was beaten by Sergey Kuzmin, in amateurs(judges scored different, but that doesn't change the reality). For me it would be more interesting to see Joshua against Kuzmin, not against Breazeale, Molina and so on.
Is this fight for real? That is a great way for Perez to bounce back on his career. He looked pretty good against Briedis.
