Pro/amateur heavyweight Bakhadyr Jololov produced classic fight with fellow super-heavyweight Ilya Kvasnikov. The semi final of Governors cup, Jololov/Ilya Kvasnikov(Quality superheavyweight): Starts from 4:52:00: This content is protected Bakhodyr was outclassed and suffered two heavy knockdowns in the first round but somehow stayed on his feet and resumed to the 2 round. Bakhodyr came back in the second round with landing some very heavy shots Klasnikov in the second round. Bakhodyr suffered a knockdown in the beginning of the 2 round but came back with knocking down Kvanikovs 3 times in the final round of the fight. Bakhodyr won in a gruelling battle. He edged Kvasnikov in the end. Bakhodyr Zhololov won the whole competition by beating Vladislav Muravin(RUS) by AB in 2 round. The win is another proof that Jololov can be a top heavyweight in pro ranks.
I think Romanov will beat Hrgovic if they meet. Too much power, too much speed and too much of ability to counter.
Anthony Joshua v Deontay Wilder: Eddie Hearn says contract drawn up for huge heavyweight unification fight. Matchroom promoter Hearn said on Tuesday: “Our original plan and hope was to do it in September but with (Mexican) Canelo (Alvarez) fighting on September 15 it makes it a little bit more difficult with US TV. “The fact that we’ve lost four weeks waiting for an answer from Deontay Wilder makes a fight happening in 11 or 12 weeks of this magnitude unlikely. “I think if it is before Povetkin then it runs on October/November. It’s all come as a bit of a shock that Deontay’s finally come back to us on the offer and seems to accept the terms. Now we have to find out if it’s bluster or if it’s real.”
Would love to see Jalolov fight Denys Poyatsika, if they haven't already. I think that would be a wild dust up and actually think Poya would end up bombing Jalolov out.
Jalolov is greatly gifted, entertaining, and fires missiles but too many defensive issues and his chin got shattered by that dude and he doesn't even look a CW. I don't think he will ever be a champion, or at least a reigning one, but think he'll provide the HW division with fireworks and some heavy falls to the canvas--both his own and opponents, for years to come. I like him a lot more than Hrgovic.
haha. Sometimes you post Pure ****. Romanov is quite good but I give him hardly any chance against Hrgovic! Hrgovic is faster , far better in overall ability and has a solid chin.
Lucas "Big Daddy" Browne back at Club Punchbowl (yes, you heard that right) on 29 July against Roger Izonritei. Roger got used as a heavy bag by Alex Leapai last start (somehow got ruled a technical draw). If Lucas does the same (uses him as a heavy bag, that is), bring on Big Daddy v Leo the Lion. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. On a more serious note, I hope they have a decent ref in there for this one. When the punches start landing, the fight needs to be stopped pronto. Not left to drag on like with the Izonritei v Leapai fight. That was a disgrace. Izonritei is there to have a go & get paid. Not to take a sustained beating for the entertainment of others.
Ivica Bacurin is actually a very good late replacement opponent for Joyce today. Bacurin went the distance with Gassiev, Cieslak, Schwarz and Wallisch. Also had several late stoppage losses vs decent opposition like Whyte or Bellew. Let's see how many rounds Joyce will need to take him out.
Look at the sparring of Wilder vs Romanov, and tell me, do you see Wilder as a future champion in that sparrring? : ) Try to find the fight between Joshua and Kuzmin, and tell me, watching how Joshua is running around against Kuzmin, was that looking like a future champ? Dominant champ?
Yeah the other guy Joyce was scheduled to face just feasted on local tomato cans, terribbly padded record. Don't think Joyce will take very long to get him out of there but just based on Bacurins toughness and caginess that he's showed cased over the years against live opposition it's a far better fight. My guess is that the other guy got cold feet.
I like those guys who are fighting everyone although they know they have no chance to win but balls of steel. Bacurin has a better resume than some world title holders lol
Yeah, a former basketball playe who is stiff as rock. He will be a champions some day, no doubt but I doubt that he can defeat Joshua or Wilder for that matter. I'm not buying the hype yet. Let's see how he deals with the better heavyweights of the division.
