“As champions, it’s either both have a rematch or we don’t,” Wilder told premierboxingchampions.com for a story posted to PBC’s website Friday. “It’s another example of saying, ‘I don’t wanna fight.’ We already took a low-money offered deal, and are willing to come to your country. But if he beats me, we move on? Hell nah. They should have just come out and said Joshua’s not ready. They’re not going to let Joshua fight me until Rob McCracken [Joshua’s trainer] says he’s ready.”
I think it's other way around, Miller is perfect for Pulev. Pulev dealt with Chisora with ease. And they have similiar style, I pick Pulev in a rather close fight. Pulev will box Miller's ears off.
Let's also not forget that even Mariusz Wach was jabbing and boxing Jarrell Miller's head off in the first few rounds, until he became injured. Mariusz Wach would have arguably beaten Miller if he didn't suffer from the unfortunate arm injury. Kubrat Pulev is an even bigger step up in competition to any opponent Miller has faced thus far. Pulev's jab and boxing skills are even better!
WBO #11 cruiserweight Jai Opetaia (16-0, 13 KOs) stopped Kurtis Pegoraro (11-4, 1 KO) in round two of a scheduled ten round IBF and WBO regional title bout at the Pullman hotel, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on Friday. Referee Phil Austin called it off at 1:25 of round two when Pegoraro was dropped with a body shot. Opetaia, 22 Years, is a 2011 world amateur champion and a 2012 London Olympian. Former heavyweight amateur star Joseph Goodall (3-0, 3 KOs) stopped Braxton Edmonds (0-2) in round one of a scheduled four. Time of stoppage 2:27. Goodall is a stablemate of former WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn.
* World junior amateur champion. He went to the London Olympics as a 16 year old so winning a senior world amateur championship at 15 would have been quite impressive.
Exactly on Pulev's power. Pulev has odd power. He lacks a true power punch, but has an unusually stiff and punishing jab. It was the jab that stopped Dimentrenko, Ustinov, and stunned Wladdy.
Promoter Nisse Sauerland, of Team Sauerland, reveals he is close to confirming an opponent, and is promising a tough test for the Croatian star: “This will be another exciting step on Filip’s journey to the top. We’re in dialogue with a number of top heavyweights, and are very close to confirming an opponent. This fight will be a big step up for Filip, but with the support of his home crowd, I’m confident he will be up to the challenge.”
Any idea of Fury's next? I guess it is another bum if they are not giving him time for an eight week camp.
