He's been knocked down a couple times. They were flash knockdowns. His chin might or might not be glass - but he's getting caught by guys who should not be able to catch him and that's big trouble when he moves up to a class of fighter than put shots together or has big power. I really don't know why Kathy Duva/Main Events still bother with him. I don't think he's got what it takes.
Yes, I think Povetkin is still a dangerous pressure fighter - but no longer so or over a 10 or 12 round distance. 5 or 6 rounds, yes, but after that he tires. That is to be expected at his age.
Glad somebody has pointed him out. Haven't seen enough of him yet. Glad he's getting fights made for him and glad he's got a TV spot to show his stuff. I suspect the opponent is Willy Jake Jr., btw. He's managed to last a few rounds with some decent prospects (e.g. Jermaine Franklin) - so the matchup seems reasonable.
fifty fifty at best for all three of those prospects. Fedosov or Joyce might accept simply because the are on short time.
Fedosov and Povetkin are said to be good friends. I doubt there's much money in that one, so I see no real reason why Povetkin would want that fight made. Fedosov lost a couple years of his career trying to get out from under a bad promoter - and it seems like the division has moved on. He got a wide UD win over Joey Dawejko - but he's a classic high-risk/low-reward fighter now. Joe Joyce vs. Povetkin? That one, I think, is much more likely to happen.
