They are letting young guys in. It's not bad considering how bad WBA ranks look at times.

Bakole Ilunga/Mike Perez is nice slugger/boxer type of match up. With Ilunga being slugger and Perez boxer. I think boxer will prevail.

All my hopes for Kuzmin, Teslenko and Bakole Ilunga are gone. Don't see them improving and I don't see them getting very far, maybe with execption of Kuzmin if he is moved carefully. Too bad that you can't get in proper shape, you should of been a professional not somebody who is overweight all the time or like Teslenko who can't raise his energy levels for reason unknown. I'm eager to see if Sirenko will fail. He looks the better of all I mentioned but he lacks sucess at amateur level, so we will see.

Kuzmin vs. Teslenko or Sirenko would make a lot of sense, as the winner is near top 10 level,

I'm eager to see what Shwarz will do against Fury. I think he will surprise many with his performance.

Well you were absolutely correct. I was wrong thinking Garcia was a southpaw. Also, seeing that "Lardo" was 287 pounds, this was no upset at all. Coming in at that weight it is obvious that Laurent has no intentions of becoming a serious contender.

I think the HW division is the division that requires the least skill. As long as you're big and can punch, which most HWs are anyway, you can go far.

I can't agree. Look at how Kuzmin performed in his last fight, look at how Teslenko did in his last fight and look how Dinu did aganst Miller in his first step up fight and they all can punch. Power alone doesn't do you any good, you need amatuer experience, speed in your footwork, power and hand speed, plus height and reach helps as well. And if you are overweight you won't be sucesfull, except Miller who is enigma in that way.

I just read Gorman was frustrated about having to face Johnson as a replacement.
He was planning to fight some Brazillian dude, but ended up with a higher level opponent in (past it) Johnson.

From the new guys, I rate higly Efetebor Apochi and Bahodir Jalolov. Efetebor Apochi impresses with his punch output, power and defense. He could be champion by 2021. Jalolov is moved fast and have shown his power and chin in every fight. Looks rather skilled as well. Don't know if he will participate in World Championships this year, think he will not but we will see.

Rashid Kodzoev/Ruslan Fayfer on April 20th. Huge step up fight for both.

I want to see if Kodzoev can come out of the shadow and beat Fayfer who comes of ud loss. Fayfer have faced better opposition but Kodzoev have better power and have better footwork but we will see. Tough to predict.
