Oliver McCall vs. Elieser Castillo on Dychko/Ray Austin card. Joe Joyce back on May 18th. Joyce/Dubois looks unlikely at this point. According to the WBA, Miller will be withdrawn from its rankings. He will also have to register with VADA at his own expense and undergo random testing. After his six-month suspension ends on Sept. 19, if he intends to return to the WBA rankings, he must submit those test results. "I think it's fair,'' said Greg Cohen, Miller's co-promoter, pointing out that the length of this suspension is in line with past offenders, most recently Canelo Alvarez and Billy Joe Saunders, who have failed drug tests before middleweight title fights in the last year. "It's appropriate, and we just look forward to moving on to bigger and better things in the future," added Cohen, who believes Miller will comply with the WBA's ruling. "I don't think he has a choice. Certainly by way of this resolution, he's required to, and I'm sure Jarrell will be compliant with the resolution." Miller is not currently licensed in any state. But Cohen made it clear that Miller will not be looking to fight in any jurisdiction during this WBA ruling. "With this suspension, he can't even apply [for a license] 'til after the Sept. 19 deadline. So we'll come across that bridge when we come to it,'' Cohen said.
There will be no fight planned for 20 July WBA world heavyweight heavyweight Denis Lebedeva (32-2, 23 KO) with Lawrence Okol (12-0, 9 KO). The duel was to be one of the main attractions of the gala organized in London. - This fight will not take place. It looks like Lebedev is finishing his career. Unless it receives a multimillion offer, but it will not come from us - said Eddie Hearn, promoter of Okolie and organizer of the July event.
Cork-Cuban cruiserweight Mike Perez [24(15)-3(1)-1] has seen his big fight next month postponed. ‘The Rebel’ was due to face top Congolese contender Ilunga Makabu [24(23)-2(2)] for the WBC Silver title on Saturday May 4th in the famous fight city of Kinshasha. The fight has been put back to a to-be-confirmed date after Makabu was forced to withdraw with an unspecified injury. Perez confirmed the news on social media, stating that “I’m so sorry to say that the fight which was meant to happen on the 4th of May in Kinshasa has been postponed due to my opponent’s injury. I will announce the new date in the coming weeks.” http://www.irish-boxing.com/mike-perez-sees-big-fight-postponed/
I can definetely see flaws in Dubois game. He is not fast when he starts his attacks, I thinks it's due to lack of reaction. And you can see that he have stamina problems, it's evident. You can get far due to power but not him because he is limited in his technique and his stance and positioning is off. Dubois pushes his punches, not good. Yeah, he is blowing past these joyneyman with ease but nothing good will happen when he steps up against the real contenders/champions and prospects.
Something from his performances tell me that Ajagba may have weak chin. I wonder how many flush shots on the chin he can take?
I hope Perez gets some more fights in this year. He is not that young anymore and everybody forget you if you don't get your name out. His fights gets canceled or postponed all the time, these things derail his career.
Tyson Fury will fight another fight on September 28 in the USA. Maybe fight Mike Perez? Trevor Bryan is an option as well.
I think these overweight fighers will never learn on how to be in shape. They just waste their time, their efforts to nothing. Even if they get knocked out they still do the same thing and go overweight for each fight. It's a question of work ethic.
