Torn ligament is pretty painful. I know from my right shoulder which still hasn't fully recovered after 3 years.
Kem Ljungquist won his fight on the same card, beating German Skobenko via UD in an 8 rounder to move to 10-0.
ACL in the knee is somewhat different. I'm not sure what Solis had. And not sure what Haye had in his shoulder. But knee ACL is pretty common in sports outside of boxing and most people come back fine from it, especially with quality surgery. If he has the funds to get the right medical treatment and it's not too serious a tear I guess he would need a year off from actual fights. I'm guessing that with his WSB performances behind him ... forking out funds for a quality knee reconstruction would be good investment. I'm not expert in this at all but usually in Australian Football (AFL) about 70-80% come back and it usually takes 12 months or so. In my case my shoulder is always in the back of my mind so it subconsciously makes me reluctant to really test it. People don't always come back playing their normal game, but as Vitali showed, people can adapt to an injury impediment. A knee can affect someone's balance but it's also a bit easier to re-enforce from what I understand.
Well said. I have had both my knees blow out. But my grandpa legs can still carry me pretty well. Took a long, long time to recover tho. If he doesn´t have the money(as I didn´t either) then he will just have to work around those injuries. Should not be career ending.
Victor Vykhryst will turn pro. He has signed a deal with EC Boxing in Germany and will fight under the name Victor Faust.
