Now that Haye has moved up to Heavyweight, which of the following guys do you think is gonna come out on top and become the next undisputed champion? Please state who and why. O'Neil Bell Steve Cunningham Enzo Mac Jean-Marc Mormeck BJ Flores Marco Huck Eric Fields Thomas Adamek Matt Godfrey Herbie Hide
I see Eric Fields moving up so I'd cross him out. I think Cunningham will clean it up..assuming Macca and him face off.
what a rubbish division! thank god for the heavywieghts hahah j//k i think bell could be a dominate force who i would have picked to beat haye but he is such a flake, one has to wonder if he will be in a mental hospital sometime soon. the dude kissed mormeck during the fight :rofl
I felt like Bell got a real raw deal against Mormeck...especially with the way the bell thing went down and how Mormeck hugged his way through the last few rounds. It was bizarre to say the least. Then again everything pertaining to Bell is bizarre.
Cunnigham is simply the best fighter in the division. O'Neil Bell-Inactive, aging Enzo Mac-I believe he's talented and will be back, but he can't beat Cunningham. Jean-Marc Mormeck-Aging, could still possibly be a factor. BJ Flores- Has a lot to prove. Not that impressed with him. Marco Huck- Cunningham beat him already. Young could still make a run. Eric Fields- Nice win over shot Davis, but much, much more to prove. Thomas Adamek- Not strong enough to win at Cruiser. Matt Godfrey-Eh. I believe he just lost to Kraj. Herbie Hide-Old. You forgot names like Alekseev, Johnathon Banks and Yoan Pablo Hernandez, all of whom could develop into championship challengers.
There will be no unification of 3-4 titles. One belt holder might get 2 titles, but they will quickly lose.
I forget that Godfrey lost! how embarassing. Jonathon Banks and Hernandez ought to be on the list, perhaps replacing Hide and Godfrey, but Hide is impossible to rule out coz he's probably the biggest puncher in the division.
Based on what evidence? One good knockout of a shot, chinny fighter? He's got to more than that in my book. Not saying he won't, but c'mon, let's see what he does against a live opponent.
Alexeev and Hernandez are the future of the division. They're better than most of the guy's listed and they've just turned pro. Hernandez might move up like Haye though, since he's a huge Cruiser and might not be able to stay under 200 for too long.
1. Cunningham 2. Bell 3. Flores Cunningham will take over for the next 4-5 years, I would've given him a great shot versus Haye as well. Flores has an excellent amateur pedigree and already posted a big win over top ten Darnell Wilson. He is ready for the championship fights. I am hoping Adamek does well as a fan of his but 25 lbs is a hell of a jump on the wrong side of 30.
I voted for Cunningham. I think he'll be a good champion because he takes the sport seriously by getting in excellent condition. Also, with his recent guest appearance on FNF, I believe Cunningham wants to make a name for himself in the sport. You can only do that by being dedicated and he looks and sounds dedicated to me.
