Now I realize that the cruiserweights usually get the short end of the stick, but as I scrolled through boxrec I noticed there's a number of potentially good prospects luring around. Do you think any one of these guys can make a run against Cunn or Huck? I have followed Masternak, Kolodziej, Palacios and definitely see potential there. Masternak being a well rounded, smart and patient fighter and Kolodziej being 6'5 and technically sound. A friend of mine is part of Palacios team, so he usually keeps me in the loop, good movement, heavy hands, was supposed to fight Herdie Hide but HH pulled out. Denis Lebedev 20(15)-0 Alexander Alexeev 19(17)-1 Pawel Kolodziej 25(14)-0 Alexander Frenkel 22(17)-0 Mateusz Masternak 19(14)-0 Francisco Palacios 19(12)-0 Yoan Pablo Hernandez 21(11)-1 Ran Nakash 24(17)-0 Grigory Drozd 32(23)-1

Enzo Macceranelli Hide vs Palacios has been ordered as a WBO Eliminator. I think some of the prospects are decent but none our spectacular.........sums up Cruiserweight. It will be along time before we get another Holyfield or Haye.
Maybe Cruiser can get somewhere finally. I always found it strange why the Cruiser division had so little talent, because it's around the natural weight of the typical European, and American male. So a huge pool to pick from i guess. Isn't Hide a bit too dangerous opponent for any upcoming cruiser right now? I know he's already 38 and has had a few problems with cuts lately, but his punchingpower is probably unmatched by any cruiser.
Cw is very good on prospect and contender level. The division with the most depth atm. It lacks the big stars and the p4p fighters though.
Palacios has been waiting a long time to fight a big name, he feels that he's ready (33yr). He's a Don King fighter but barely known in the scene.....high risk, low reward. He fought on espn a few yrs ago, got a nice KO... Herbie Hide pulled out to be in Prizefighter.
And pulled out of Prizefighter respectively. Yes they do, but wich parent in their right mind calls their son BJ, even if it's short fot Benjamin?!
This division is gonna be Polish / Russian dominant. Both these countries have some real good fighters who are comming up.
We also have: Artur Szpilka 5(3)-0 (when he gets out of prison) Tomasz Hutkowski 18(12)-0 (not as talented) Lukasz Janik 19(11)-1 (strong but a bit of one dimensional)
CW is a great class almost like the HWT's of old a shame most guys who get belts move up for bigger pay checks and usually suck in the transition to HWT the division has times of greatness but then the best go up and leave the division barren
How dare u to compare em like that? Cunninghum has twice better resume at cw than haye, even adamek had a better resume. Haye was a champion but definetely not a guy to put in the same line as holyfield. Are u british by a chancE?
